He doesn't strike me as one under pressure, fighting for his job. On the contrary, he's hoping to fall into the 8 and claim the year an outstanding success. Even if we come 9th he'll still claim it as a success. The experts had us wooden spoon, remember.

Straight Shooter
I dread the scenario you describe which will leave the fans with egg on their face once again.
This wooden spoon BS is nothing more than managing expectations - "under promise over deliver"
Does anyone even believe that crap any more?

The NRL wants 800k of its money back by October.
There's very little chance of that happening.
No chance if they have to pay Mary's contract out.

Unless he's only on an incentive contract of $500 a win, which he absolutely should be.

It does make sense, could the board of been that smart?
I hope it's true because with where we were on the table when he re-signed,it's fair enough. He would of signed it thinking it was a given too. Now it's on a knife edge.

At the time when he signed Saints looked a sure thing of making the 8 so not surprised if he did sign on those conditions but the way he and the team performed I doubt it. Looks like once he signed the pressure was off and they reverted back to silly 2016 tactics of running the clock down with boring block plays.

He could still possibly finish as high as 6th after Manly lost and can overtake Manly, Penrith and Cows if the results go their way. Big if but possible.

Personally I have more hope of them beating Penrith than beating Dogs. That game is a guarantee loss based on their current form against bottom 4 sides.

Strange is it not , how desperate men will cling to that very last shred of hope ?

We can all get our Mary ' voodoo- dolls ' back out again next year , because I am afraid that he won't be going anywhere . He may not be ( is not ) the N.R.L.s most cluesest coach , but he would at least had someone check the contract over before he signed it , I tink ?

South till I Die
We have McInnes till end 2018.
We have a good young player call robson he will be redy next year as well.
So I can't se why we would want anyone else.
We need to lock up McInness and I am sure they will.

Robson can't get past Marketo for the hooking spot in reserve grade.

More time should've been invested in Havili, who has been treated disgracefully by McGregor over the past 18 months.

For a start its Robson not Robinson and he has been out for a few weeks now.

Head is on par with Mary for stupid selections and bad tactics so thats the reason why young Reece was left on the bench.

Hell Head and his use of his interchange bench is just as bad as Mary's if not worse.

Havili thats a different story if he hadn't mucked up things may have been different and being injured aslong as he was that spelt the end of his time at the club.
