* Hayne was bailed on a $50,000 surety and conditions ahead of sentencing in Newcastle on May 6.

* He faces a maximum of 14 years' jail for each offence.

Hayne got too big for his boots and became more of a grub than a sportsman. He won't be playing NRL ever again I would imagine.

Hsyne’s glory days were 12yrs ago after the ‘09 semi against us. Right now he’s a pathetic failure of a man who soon will disappear from memory.

Please tell me there is nothing to this Andrew Fafita rumour.
I mean, not only is he old and on his last legs, he’s just such a knob jockey!

Yep, this is doing the rounds.
Sharks would have to pay big chunk of his salary.

He'd be more value off the bench than Williame. He attracts 3 or 4 defenders and has a great offload and we could do with another big body in the middle. Short stints with Dufty under orders to follow him everywhere. I love Lawrie but Fifita makes big metres effortlessly and defends well. Put him on just before halftime and leave him on for 10 minutes to start the 2nd half.

We’re better off investing in youthful signings, Francis Molo is a perfect example.

We need help now and A. Fifita's not likely to cost much on a one year deal ( or for the remainder of this year ).
I'm as happy as anyone with our win last week but don't let that lull you into a false sense of security. Our pack hasn't a hope in hell of matching it with the top 4 - 6 teams, no matter how hard they try or how well our halves and backs help them out. We need another big guy or two. If Blacker can step up, great but a big, experienced forward would be better and if Fifita is the only one available ( and he is ) then it wouldn't hurt to bring him in. Also just one injury to any of our forwards and we're in trouble. He's a cheap back up at worst. I'm surprised Bellyache hasn't snapped him up, he loves these big guys others have written off - Kasiano, Ryles, he even got some value out of George rose.

Agree. Another big body up front can’t hurt at all. Plus he would have a huge point to prove. If the Sharks cover bulk coin then let’s do it
.
I thought he had leg injuries and even Gallen mentioned his legs are stuffed. He can’t even get a run in FG now. He has never looked fit and now with the speed of the game is he really an option..

I would definitely take him for this year. Let’s be honest we’re a bit skinny up front and would be worth the risk. There is nothing else at the moment

Ask the people who watch him every game, Sharkies fans, and most will acknowledge he is definitely on the downward curve in his career. Imagine having both Simms & Fafita in the same pack , great 3 seasons ago but a boat anchor now.

Would rather bring his uncle? John out of retirement. He inspired that famous Roy Masters line- "cross Mr T and he'll dot your eyes".
