If Sims is with us for 2022 and we manage to sign Moses Suli from Manly, then our attack will move up another notch and hopefully the fade out towards the end of the season will not continue.

Our problem will again be defense. Suli will need to up his skills in this area and Bird will need to concentrate in this area if he is to be in the run-on side.

I’m sorry but sims was half the reason the attack DID go to shit at the end of the season. He started the year well then stopped trying after origin.

Sorry @possm , but you keep fantasising that we will sign Smith. I very much doubt it would happen, and personally, I dont want the powder sniffer anyway. Similar with Scott. They are both talented, but bring a substantial amount of baggage with them. Baggage we don't want or need. Lomax was tried at fullback, admittedly while Mary was in charge, and looked a bit out of sorts. Sloan has made a much better impression at fullback in his short time there. Besides, Lomax is a very good centre, so I wouldn't weaken that position. Anyway, we are all entitled to our thoughts, and something has to fill the time until next season.

They could have said that on the first day if that was the case but it has taken them several days to make such a statement after all the negative publicity. Your opinion and I would guess a lot of other supporters as well. In my 50 odd years following the game, I can't recall any other club being so despised for the way they play the game/bend the rules. Even when Parra or the Dogs dominated in the 80s, Broncos in the 90s and more recently the Chooks (and I am not talking about the sombrero), yes other supporters might have been jealous of their success, but not questioned the manner of how they played the game to the same extent. Yes every successful team pushes the boundaries but not like the Storm. As one of their tactics gets shut down they move onto the next one.

Agree hewi , regardless of what thread that article was on , it still makes for very sad reading .

We can only live in hope that the Dragons are able to put 2021 well and truly behind them and that Griffin is able to weld the Big Red V into a team that has pride in its performances .

Mate, you dont seem to understand. This is MELBOURNE, not the Dragons, so there are different rules. (Plus the no fault stand down policy only kicks in if a guilty verdict would result in a jail sentence of at least 11 years).

Thank you. I've been very busy with my work with a charity. I do keep an eye on the forum but just have been reading more than posting. Now I find the rumor thread entertaining.

in all likely hood would possibly only be after a one year deal , as he would be the marquee signing for Redcliffe the following year , and has clearly stated thats where he wants to go..
must be a consideration for us . would also give our youngsters in Amone and Sullivan an extra year to get miles in the legs

To be honest they also linked him to the Tigers and Raiders and also said it is completely possible he stays and then leaves for the new Queensland team in 23 - So it’s a very very very low chance of ever occurring
