He came from the Cherry Pickers club in Young.I think he comes from that area ( not sure) i suppose with covid and no game time contracts are lapsing. seemed like a great prospect when we signed him , pity we didnt get to see him play in reserves

I’m sorry but sims was half the reason the attack DID go to shit at the end of the season. He started the year well then stopped trying after origin. If Sims is with us for 2022 and we manage to sign Moses Suli from Manly, then our attack will move up another notch and hopefully the fade out towards the end of the season will not continue.
Our problem will again be defense. Suli will need to up his skills in this area and Bird will need to concentrate in this area if he is to be in the run-on side.
My preference early in the season is to test Lomax at fullback with Scott and Suli as our center combination:

Sorry @possm , but you keep fantasising that we will sign Smith. I very much doubt it would happen, and personally, I dont want the powder sniffer anyway. Similar with Scott. They are both talented, but bring a substantial amount of baggage with them. Baggage we don't want or need. Lomax was tried at fullback, admittedly while Mary was in charge, and looked a bit out of sorts. Sloan has made a much better impression at fullback in his short time there. Besides, Lomax is a very good centre, so I wouldn't weaken that position. Anyway, we are all entitled to our thoughts, and something has to fill the time until next season. If Sims is with us for 2022 and we manage to sign Moses Suli from Manly, then our attack will move up another notch and hopefully the fade out towards the end of the season will not continue.

Thanks TezHe came from the Cherry Pickers club in Young.
The article concludes with "we strive to be better than most ..." Yeah, right. Better than most at cheating the salary cap maybe. Or better than most at bending the rules, or at wrestling in the tackle etc. Storm are a bunch of grubs. (Just my opinion of course).‘Hard to disagree’: Storm contact Smith over ‘festering’ scandal as trio set to make public apology

What a PR smother by the Storm. They wanted to work in unison with the NRL. Also, what has the potential relocation of the GF got to do with the alleged sniffers? They could have said that on the first day if that was the case but it has taken them several days to make such a statement after all the negative publicity. They note zero tolerance at the end of the article which to me means they should be sacked, but let's see what happens.
Your opinion and I would guess a lot of other supporters as well. In my 50 odd years following the game, I can't recall any other club being so despised for the way they play the game/bend the rules. Even when Parra or the Dogs dominated in the 80s, Broncos in the 90s and more recently the Chooks (and I am not talking about the sombrero), yes other supporters might have been jealous of their success, but not questioned the manner of how they played the game to the same extent. Yes every successful team pushes the boundaries but not like the Storm. As one of their tactics gets shut down they move onto the next one.The article concludes with "we strive to be better than most ..." Yeah, right. Better than most at cheating the salary cap maybe. The famous Red V: Why the end of the 2021 season cannot come quickly enough
The NRL grand final on Sunday is set to mark the end of the 2021 season, and for South Sydney coach Wayne Bennett, history…www.theroar.com.au
Probably the wrong place for this but an interest read none the less
Haha I’m still laughing at that Andrew bloke in the comment - bloke can’t handle the fact that Illawarra had 0 success - absolute clownAgree hewi , regardless of what thread that article was on , it still makes for very sad reading .
We can only live in hope that the Dragons are able to put 2021 well and truly behind them and that Griffin is able to weld the Big Red V into a team that has pride in its performances .
I’m confused: where’s the no fault stand down policy? Also, how is a BBQ more unforgivable than snorting coke? Is Gladys on the Storm board by any chance? The article concludes with "we strive to be better than most ..." Yeah, right. Better than most at cheating the salary cap maybe. Mate, you dont seem to understand. This is MELBOURNE, not the Dragons, so there are different rules. (Plus the no fault stand down policy only kicks in if a guilty verdict would result in a jail sentence of at least 11 years).I’m confused: where’s the no fault stand down policy? Thank you. I've been very busy with my work with a charity. I do keep an eye on the forum but just have been reading more than posting. Now I find the rumor thread entertaining.I’ve missed you Possm. Welcome back
Gee, I hope not. Another talented player with very little common sense. And if we did sign him there would be an avalanche if posters complaining because we would have to let go players like Amone and maybe Sullivan. And if we don't sign him, posters will complain that Millward is a dud (OK, he might be). Why are the Dragons linked to every player that is looking for a new club?Article just published that is linking us to Cameron Munster who is reportedly being told to leave Melbourne before next season
To be honest they also linked him to the Tigers and Raiders and also said it is completely possible he stays and then leaves for the new Queensland team in 23 - So it’s a very very very low chance of ever occurringGee, I hope not.
