So at long last the club has realised that both our assistants have been shit. These guys are the ones that do most of the ground work and facilitate in getting our players to implement their ways in defence and attack whilst Griffin, who relies on them, cops most of the blame.

I'm surprised that it has taken this long for the club to take this action but it is better late than never and hopefully the club will do their due diligence in getting the right replacements to assist Hook, not just anybodies but ones that can benefit our chances of being successful.

As Webb said - "We’re looking for the right structures supporting our coach in 2023,” - so look hard at the next selections Webb. This is probably the most important thing that has come out of the last meeting they had. It is something that we have known for ages that Gentle and Head just lack a lot of skill.

The likes of Barrett as our attacking coach could be one and I'm not too sure about the defence guy who will be very important to improve our defensive woes. Nonetheless, 2023 could be a year in which we will be rejoicing.

Hasn't the Bulldogs attack improved by 20 or so points since Barrett was sacked, the players quote they are playing a much more open playing style.....So why would we want Barrett???

Yes I agree that the Dogs attack has improved since Barrett's sacking so I guess he can be left out of the equation.

No, I wouldn’t personally. I think Liam Martin is severely overrated.

Wasn't he the one that dropped Dugan & brought in Dufty to see what he had to offer as an alternative when he was the interim coach, instead of sticking with the favourites???
After seeing how emotional his father Albert was last week in the team of the century, that is exactly what we want leading our team to the success of the past....

Barrett seems to be a good assistant coach but not a good head coach. I'd like to see the club sign Brown and Barrett right now and look closely at signing Flanno before years end.

Don't get the fascination with Barrett. A 2 time failed head coach. People were saying that he was responsible for Penrith's attack yet they seem to be going better even with him gone. They won the comp last year and are 8 points clear this year.

Baz not a good head coach but will be a good assistant imo. Panthers have got him back after he left before he went to the Dogs so he can't be that bad. I think he will be good for the juniors and take them to the next level.

Brown and Baz as assistants. Both top notch assistants.

I have a feeling Shane Flannagan will be elevated to Assistant coach from list management. And if Hook gets the flick will be an easy transition to the head coaching role. Flanno may see if he can get his mate John Morris as well. Both did well at the Sharks.

Knowing Saints they will appoint Timmins (Illawarra great) and John Doust (has Doust got a son or nephew at the club).

if you enjoy every season being a sunken ship go for it, i was bought up with an ethic of we always go for the top, and i dont ever care if we do lose as long as we breath fire and play the style were famous , the never say die, the throw the ball around, have a wild go, total try to hammer every team, every game by 60 points, the style of raper, gasnier, reddy, bath, young , jansen, stone, etc did every game , playing, not just trying to manage a game and possibly scrape a win by 2 points etc of this coach and the 2 before....its HOW weve been losing that really has made me mad so long..now my post was so heated due to the 4 days prior to the broncos game being in utter hell pain of some kind of evil dissentry or bacteria, stomach bug ...out of my head in agony bedridden could not move ex ept to run to the dunny every hour, thats it.,.and after the last 2 great wins and the souths total old school go forward all out attacking play i mentioned earlier of the old days, we i lay in bed, in agony, and my ONLY thought was oh boy i cant wait till friday to get better just to see us play again in that old style play we showed in the souths game, i thought we might have got em if we did as ONLY that all out style would have won as i being a QLDER, know Kev Walters was certainly going to put on a full show for the qld fans....but what did we get? i barely got better to see the game so excitedly first thing i saw after days ill and boom! to get served up THAT nothing oversafe drivel patheticness, utter mediocrity , sadly it is nowdays who our club is....and im NOT taking it! the frustration dissapointment boredom emptiness and PAIN us true bleeders have had to sit back and cop since 2011 ish is intolerable, the cowtowing to it from anyone calling themself a true dragons fan on here and even justifying it, is also pathetic, ill stick with the truth you guys can have your apology club, i want glory days back and am a fighter i stand proudly alone if so..what would facer do? .celebrate a win every 5 or 6 games? for years?.theres NO excuses....the whole board must go
