He could & with a kicking game which for a 9 is gold.Sorry I missed the Flanno junior signing. One thing I will say he is a good defender and not frightened.
He just might turn out to be a reasonable No 9

Over all these years I struggle to recall you ever saying anything positive.. at least you seem to be leaving when Flanno starts next year, due to your moral high horse. So the big Flanno news is the wonder kid we had to keep as he was going to be the next big thing is free to go and we are pushing hard to sign the type of player who we have already plenty of from a fringe top 8 team who are no doubt looking to bolster their roster in that very position so as to have a chance at going top 4.
And people are excited by that FMD.
Im excited with a new coach. I suppose I understand you cant because your cashing out for the time being at the end of this season.

Yeh but lets be neagtive for the sake of whatever we do cause we dont like the new coach. He could & with a kicking game which for a 9 is gold.
We’ll best you go back and read all my posts as there is plenty of positivity in amongst loads of reality checks and posts that reflect my bitter disappointment.Over all these years I struggle to recall you ever saying anything positive.. at least you seem to be leaving when Flanno starts next year, due to your moral high horse.
The club is happy for you to negotiate to find an earlier exit..ffs
Sele is 1.80 metres and 102 kgs, not even built to be a prop. If you followed him as a dragons junior he was a second rower or a lock, if he is truly one of our top 4 props then it doesn't say much about the 4 of them.Im excited with a new coach. I suppose I understand you cant because your cashing out for the time being at the end of this season.
We have to start somewhere. Sele may not be much but he would be in our Top 4 props for sure and certain even if we get that marquee prop.
Rueben Cotter (1.8m/95kg) say's HiSele is 1.80 metres and 102 kgs, not even built to be a prop. If you followed him as a dragons junior he was a second rower or a lock, if he is truly one of our top 4 props then it doesn't say much about the 4 of them.
As per usual in this place posters finding ways to talk up players that are average. You maybe right Hornby but Sele does play a strong game, also he ads some mobility to the pack. Remember the player of the series in the SOO was Rueban Cotter and i dont think he would be any bigger than Sele. It would be great to land a player like Tino or Haas but atleast we can see that Flannigan is trying to shake up the squad.
Perhaps you could try a new style of post, one that offers solutions rather than the negativity. We’ll best you go back and read all my posts as there is plenty of positivity in amongst loads of reality checks and posts that reflect my bitter disappointment.
And if you are excited by the return of Sele and the discarding of the must keep Bud then you are easily pleased.
No doubt you will be a big fan of Kyle and Dean as well when they put their kit in the locker.
All earth shattering stuff by the new coach who is the new saviour.
A stitch up if ever there was one.
I am offering a solutionPerhaps you could try a new style of post, one that offers solutions rather than the negativity.
As the plan is improving the squad, Sele looks a sound buy, as he walks into our current 17 and likely not too expensive.
Bud, 50/50 on him. Seems hamstring injury prone, tries hard but hasn’t set the world on fire.
Kyle, not a huge fan but seemed to play well under his old man at sharks. I am sure he won’t cost much and us a squad player until he proves something.
Hopefully some other bigger signings coming as part of the reshuffle, as the current squad has us in 15th which is not good enough.
Flanno has experience and has won a comp, I am happy to leave the decisions to him and see how it plays out over the next 12-18 months. He has to be better than another unproven assistant stepping up.
And as usual when you believe in something you talk every thing else downAs per usual in this place posters finding ways to talk up players that are average.
All the talk pre signing Flanagan was we need a “big body” to bolster our inadequate forward pack.
It was pay the money for a Tino or a Nelson or a Haas or 1 of the Saifiti brothers but that has now gone to woo hoo look we got Sele well done Flanno.
This place didn’t want young, Kyle Flanagan was laughable as an option after being dropped at the Dogs, Bud was all the go and the question was why isn’t Musgrave in 1sts.
Well Bud the keeper is no longer a keeper, Musgrove with the much needed mongrel has lost his bark, the laughable half option is now a great 14 option, Young the “let’s not have any old boy” is back in the building and we have another prodigal son in Sele returning to join “Pudding” in the front row.
Exciting times indeed under Flanno the draw card premiership winning coach who has a way with talented juniors and their pathways, who can attract a big signing and evidently has managed to keep a 34 year old half back that almost nobody in here has a good word for and has put the c firmly behind his surname when this place has put the c firmly in front of it.
.Letting sub standard juniors leave and then bringing them back as average first graders and paying overs for them. Great recruitment.
Since when is stating the obvious talking it down? And as usual when you believe in something you talk every thing else down
Anyway you don’t care cause I won’t be supporting the new regime
What’s the difference?
My rant over too
Sorry, that statement is not a solution…and you are making crazy claims of what you believe my opinions are.I am offering a solution
Don’t accept mediocrity and believe you can turn pigs ears into silk purses.
The BOD have now got you on board using Flanno as the bait.
Did you want Young back in any capacity?
Did you want to keep Bud?
Do you think Musgrove should be in 1sts?
Would Sele or K Flanagan be on your shopping list?
Under all the given circumstances would you be keeping Hunt?
The answer for you is obviously yes and you obviously believe that will make a huge difference because “huge” is the measure that is required.
I predicted long ago tgat if you get Flanno you will get Young and Kyle and for mine that is a stitch up and extremely convenient for all parties other than the fans.
Well your new coach not only supports him he is listening to and consulting with him re the roster.Sorry, that statement is not a solution…and you are making crazy claims of what you believe my opinions are.
I meant your actual solutions for next year and 2025/26
Who is your coach?
Who is your 17 next year based on the market and funds?
which marquee signings do we build a team around..
Who is the new captain/leader
in response your questions.
1) No, likely a concession for Flanno to get the job. At least he is not coach. Hopefully he is learning at Cowboys as they are playing well.
2) No, seems injury prone.
3) No, not sure why we bought him. Couldn’t get a start at Tigers
4) Sele is an upgrade into prop/middle rotation and I am ok with him
5) No, I think the Hunt $$ are needed for the remodelling. Plus as Captain, wanting out is weak in my opinion. I won’t support him.
