I think SFInau is right wing, potentially JAC left (potentially), if we did that it will leave Sloan as reserve grade fullback which isnt the worst outcome.. if Gutho cops an injury (which could easily happen) he is going to be needed.

1. Gutho 6. Atkinson (or equivalent) 7. Kyle 9. Liddle/Cook

NSW Cup is:
1. Sloan 6. LKT 7. ToBePurchasedTop30 (or Dev) 9. StillTBD

We might not actually sign JAC though.. so Sloan might be competing for a wing spot yet.. but imo he should just try and keep his fullback skills up.. get better.. if hes good enough maybe Gutho ends up @ctr at some point.. hes just gotta be irresistible though.. and of course Gutho does cop injuries.

With Liddle also scooting and backing up through the middle. A lot more 80 minute threat in this side already, even before a new half.

Liddle has been close to our best since joining.

He is one of the harder working players we have and crucially one of the least predictable. Predictability has been the Bain of our existence for years and Hunt has been at the centre of it (despite him being a skilled player),

Throw in Gutho now, and maybe an option for half back and all of a sudden Flanno will have the opposition in damage mode trying to work us out. Need to sort out our forwards next but starting to get good feels.

Hard to imagine such a young man having the confidence to decide when players like Holmes, Gutherson and Su'a should be getting the ball. But we may find out.

From what I gathered when Flanno was on 2gb, JAC isn’t on the radar.( too much coin) Could this mean that he’s sure about Gutho and wants Sloan to take up a wing spot?

lets hope sloan relishes the opportunity he has to learn from gutho, and is happy to stay.

No he definitely didn’t but he’s a handy player.

I’m hearing he’s your target, interesting to see how it plays out as can imagine Fitz will be reluctant to release him given it won’t free up much cap space and his versatility value.

Fitz has released players but also not released players early. Might feel it’s too good of an opportunity for him to not get that starting spot as he’s all about the players interest.

We do get players in return too historically so any good juniors we can take off you ?

Yeah, they wouldn't which is why I would say Trindall should be the priority. IF we could land both that's an ideal world, but my point is we need a half like Trindall way more than we need a half like Atkinson, having both would be great.

The deal for Rava was done before Flano, it was just announced in July in a mass recruitment and retention update whilst the club was trying to paint a positive picture. Unfortunately they were/are completely out of touch and had no idea that Rava's re-signing was not a positive

Trindall is going to stay with the Sharks on a 3 year deal.

I get the feeling a Half has been 'arranged ' but it is being kept , water tight to a select few..
Obv a high profile 7 who is under contract but may have the Nov 1 clause in his arsenal

Does anyone have any intel on Sloans junior career ?
Was he always a full back ?
has he played in the halves etc etc ?
Is quick on his feet
has great hands
can set his outside men up
has a short deft kicking game
Just perhaps could make a utility type player
