Thanks for your support Dragsters. It is the off season syndrome with me I guess.

If Molo wants out and he is released with 2 years left on his contract, it could have a detrimental effect on some other players who might want out as well. We don't know the real reason(s) why he hasn't been training so if there is a genuine mental problem and he wants out it might be the best thing for the club to let him go.

We have GOT to get an experienced middle forward if Molo goes. I can see Blake Lawrie playing a lot of games in first grade this year.

It will be very interesting to see what eventuates.
Ideally, for me at least, if he was released and his brother with him and we could secure Lodge for 2 seasons. Then perhaps pick up another pig from somewhere, maybe a Hazelton if he could be released (or the like) then that would still leave us with a spot free and potentially improve our middles overall...

I hope so its amazing how drama follows the dragons, and these dramas totally derail our season, starting with Tallis sitting out the season, Debelin's saga destroying the 2019 year after a promising end to 2018,Ben Hunt effectively derailing the 2023 and 2024 seasons and Amone's hammer incident also contributing to issues with the 2024 squad and results.

Yes, we're not the luckiest of clubs are we. Add the Covid breach, mass suspensions (20 weeks all up) and losing Vaughan, financial penalties as well - season ruined if it wasn't already. Add pre-season injuries and our bright young star, Cody Ramsey, contracting that awful ulcerative colitis, poor bugger.
We keep defying the odds though and copping the annual Wooden Spoon candidates tag, we seem to perform above expectations. That's going to be a big ask this year if we keep heading down this road.
Our luck will change eventually I hope.

F Molo played couple of state of Origin games 2021 and then joined us 2022. He was 27 then. He is now 30. His best years behind him. Went stale while with us. I do not think the club should try to stand in his way. he is not a marqee player for us to fight over him.

With him gone, his brother M Molo will follow out I reckon. He was a sweetener to keep F Molo. He never proved himself to be FG material.

I think Hame/Jack will start and Toby/Ryan/Lawrie to rotate. This also opens the door for Fifita and maybe later in the season for Loko.

Actually I think what we're starting to see are the results of having the toxic culture slowly flushed out of our system by Flanno. For me at the moment, any player who wants to leave should get their wishes and be replaced with someone who wants to be part of what Flanno is building.
Nothing wrong with our current culture and its only going to get better over the next few years.

I just got an image of Gus Gould with a voodoo doll and sticking pins in it.

This kind of thing also happens at other clubs. Terrell May (mysteriously) at Easts, Pangai Jr the champion boxer at Canterbury. Jordan Miller currently at Balmain. Young men who have never worked a day in their lives, have loads of money, coddled, in demand from16 other clubs, will always feel they can do whatever they want and agents will not discourage them.

Fully agree Gareth. If his manager or if another club has started this then they should be fined for breach. Molo has two years left on his contract - subject to any conditions enabling him to depart earlier and the club likewise - and therefore a club cannot approach the player until November 2025.

Gee I'm missing justadragon. I've lost plenty of interest now. All started with my Thread on PNG which was removed, me being banned, followed by justa and now he has decided not to be involved with the Forum. It shits me.

League is shitting me now, I am sorry.
Hang in there David.
The tide will turn & you’ll be back to your old self again.

Geez there's been a few years between Tallis and all the recent shit. Why not throw in the KFC incident for good measure? No doubt the culture has been rotten for a few years but it happens to all clubs, we're not alone in this. That's rugby league. I'm just thankful Flanagan has had enough of it and is actively seeking to change the culture.
Ok the Tallis thing was years ago, it really pissed me off at the time and it still lingers just like the 1999 Storm penalty try in the dying minutes of that GF both of which are totally irrelevant to the current culture issues.
It may happen in other clubs however it seems a lot more prevalent with the daargons in recent years

Jason Saab. Does he belong on the list of psychologically delicate NRL players?

Chin up brother, the trials are just around the corner and there's a lot of stories to unfold with new recruits, young bulls, possible signings and virtually a new spine. Anything could happen.

Molo minus his mojo would be worse than useless. Surrounded by guys chomping at the bit for the season to start and he wants rehab time? Time for Loko & Latu to step in and step up. Not ideal for the youngsters but blooding them on alternate weeks may work.

there are heaps of dragons players who have just had enough of the Daargons and have walked out in recent years, Brett Morris ,Jamie Soward, Trent Merrin (he came back but no where near as good as he was), Lomax, Hunt, McInnes, Frizzell, Saab, Fonua Blake (strictly speaking he was sacked however that was a dumb move)

verified my backside
It’s the rumour that I’m verifying to the existence of, not the assertions themselves.

This is the talk out there from people closer to the player bubble than me.

As I said, we will see who he ends up with and when. Then the rubbishy story about freak offer. We will need to read between the lines.

But flanno off the hook.
