Couldn't agree more...

To have a young player of his quality and lose him is disgraceful.

We'll be regretting this for a very long time...
The thing is every time we go to the market for a forward we go all out for ready-made elite talent and come back with a 30+ year old journeyman instead. Now we can't seem to keep our own. Honestly Latu looks far better than Loko Pasifiki Junior from what I have seen. Yeah, maybe we can't keep them all. I get that argument but unfortunately, whether you like it or not, we don't have the ability to attract big names to the club like teh Dogs do right now.

Latu will be a solid first grader. He may go on to be even more than that. Enough people can see that. Flanagan really wanted to keep him and this is a guy who has tried so hard to get us the right players. He will be fuming but he should have known we don't have great recruitment staff when he joined. It's laughable that some are pretending it's not a loss.

I'm not talking results...

Crowds, Merchandise etc.

We will blow away all records this year! If success comes sweet, if not we are still Bulldog supporters!

Depending luck with weather... We will be the 1st NRL club in Sydney to average 30,000 this season! You guys continue being happy with 8-10K crowds at Kogarah!
Half your fanbase are fairweather supporters, not real fans. Woof woof

1.2 million over 3 years.

He took less money to come to a powerhouse club!
Players want to play in front of 65,000 people not 6,500 at Kogarah!

Less money my arse. Today's players play for money and their Managers go for the best deals.
Do you have any proof ? There's tpa's and other sweeteners for the players and managers and the NRL need to make it all a lot more transparent otherwise it's a scam.

NRL simply need to step in to sort this out and it is a pretty easy solution. They need a player draft asap. They say it is a restriction of trade but the NRL can ensure the teams pay what the player is worth and not less so the player is not out of pocket.

The current recruitment system is producing way to many mental health issues if you know what I mean, so the NRL should come out and say for player welfare there will be a draft to avoid player managers controlling the game at the expense of players health. Aren't player managers supposed to be looking after the health as well for the player and not just their salaries? If so they are definitely not doing a good job. Publicly telling the media their players have mental issues can't be good. I am not sure anyone would like that info about themselves spread around the media yet the player managers think it is a great idea, how can that be good for the game?

Players will no longer be tapped up as well to start the process rolling. The current club gets first crack to offer the player a salary. And if the player declines or feels he can get more elsewhere he goes straight to the draft. Nice and simple. If other codes can do it why can't the NRL.

How funny a dogs fan giving Saints fans $hit about having crowds under 10k. I would much rather that than go for a team who won the spoon in 2021. I cannot remember the last time Saints were crowned the $hittest team in the comp. That is far worse than small crowds. Saints have been bad but not as bad as they have prior to the last 2 years thanks to pub share agreements to bring in players to rort the cap. The NRL chiefs probably got some shares as well to help, seems they have plenty of shares to go around why stop at players. This club does have a history of cheating and have been caught before.

The deal is worth an estimated $1.2 million over three years.

Dragons have spent a lot of time, effort, money developing him…. stand him down immediately and let his new club or whoever develop him further and let another one of our juniors take his place…. Absolute dog act by him, his family and bulldogs…

why should we develop him this season for the Bulldogs to then take him

Plus shares in a couple of hotels! The TPAs are making a bit of a mockery of the official Salary Cap. Some clubs are much better at TPAs than others. Dragons seem to be no good at all at TPAs. Anyway, if Latu is going, Flano should drop him from the ANZAC day game and make him a reserve for the reserve bench warmers for the rest of the year. Flano blames Latu's manager. Are all managers dodgy? Are there any honourable ones out there?

Losing Finau Latu is very disappointing. Huge talent. As if we couldn't re-sign him in place of Eisenhuth, Michael Molo, Viliami Fifita, etc. Still think Jacob Halangahu is better than Latu and Loko but still it's not good enough. We should've re-signed him when we re-signed Loko and Halangahu. Not sure why he'd want to leave Dragons who developed him where he has mates and won sg ball.

If a player is drafted to a team he doesn't want to go to, he's goes to court and wins. what's the point?

I can understand the frustration but we don’t know what bullshit he was fed over at the dog pound. I think we have done a good job to blood some talent in firsts this year plus retained the majority. If we retain this one we whinge about losing that one and or vice versa. Every club loses juniors we poached Atkinson the tigers have their issues that’s footy.
