Broncos lose to Melbourne next week & we win both our games 6th spot will be close.

Depends on how big a margin we can put on Manly & how big a margin they can put on Roosters.

+69 for us , +100 for them.

Hopefully the storm can beat them by 16-20 next week.

I'd say Melbourne will beat Brisbane by 16 next week and the following week I reckon the way the way they are playing the Roosters will make another statement for 2017 and beat them up at Suncorp by 12. I have next week's game for us as a 50/50 but we have shown serious form in the past few weeks, albeit against poor teams and that could hold us in good stead against a Titans side which did 'enough' today. Then Manly should be easy enough if we aim up and don't just settle for a Top 8 spot.

Also it appears as if the Storm will finish 1st. If so, unless we finish 5th or 8th, we will more than likely have to play Melbourne in Melbourne if we made it through to the preliminary finals. That is of course if we make it through to the 1st and 2nd weeks of finals. But that's the challenge looking ahead.

If we can win our games well i think we are every chance of moving up to 6th. There is plenty of pressure on the 3 sides above us now. A lot more is expected of them. I can't see more than 1 of them really caking it though. Home final against Brisbane is my pick.

I don't care who we play in the finals as long as we win the next 2 games to go into them with momentum.

I would love to win the next 2 games. But if we did that's 5 in a row and we would need to win another 4 in a row through the finals to win the GF. 9 in a row would be impossible for us with such a young side. I think we would be better off losing a game and starting a fresh winning streak into the finals.

Only problem is other teams on winning streaks haven't recovered immediately. Confidence is shot and they just aren't near as good as they were. Even our Under 20s have struggled since their winning streak ended.

May be unlikely, but it's not impossible.

Lets be realistic rather than negative. We are not ready or consistent enough to win through to the grand final. Not this year. Melbourne,Canberra, Sharks etc are on another level if they keep their shit together. Not ruling out the Cowboys or the Broncs. The Bulldogs that so often come to life in September.
If we can win our next 3 games (certainly possible) and bow out in week 2 of the finals with a close loss. I will still be happy. If we drop a game this week or god forbid r26 then our momentum is most likely gone and we limp into the finals. The best thing right now for us is to keep winning.

I don't think we are quite there to win it this year.

If only we had this team playing this sort of footy at the start of the year. We win Bulldogs, St George and possibly Cowboys. We are in the top 4....

I also think that if I was one of Bulldogs, Broncos or Cowboys, I would be wanting to avoid us in the first week of the finals. We are playing too unpredictable and can upset anyone at any time the way we are playing. Our attack is really hard to defend against and we are just starting to show signs of a solid defensive line.

There was too much personnel change to be implemented to get much set earlier in the year. I think given the circumstances we have timed our run well.
