Thats what I was told, and they offered a bit less to Shackleton, who thought he deserved more than a rookie.

Sounds fair enough...

I would take Shackelton for around the 550K mark over 3 seasons, not worth much more than that though...

so we expect news today/tonight then? and where will that put us in relation to signing Justin Poore? will it mean there's not enough money left now?

There's enough money to sign both of them with some leftovers.

Apparently our offer is in the vicinity of 600k over 3 seasons for Shackleton.

Let's see what the news delivers!

He reckons today, maybe they were waiting for Fitzy to quit?

Well I saw Shackelton play on the weekend and I was dissapointed. Can someone please tell me his strengths as a player.

The only issue i have seen with the Shacks game is his play the balls (bit slow, and can stuff them up).
But apart from that he has played well this season (even with the lack of quality ball given to him).
Never thought he'd be the player he is today last year. Especially with the injury he had.

Solid metre gainer and firey as hell (its the ranga in him)

I used to cheer for him as a laugh, but this year he's gone from fring firstgrader to starting forward - and good on him! He's obviously worked very hard on different aspects of his game. Increased his value on the market, thats for sure!

He's been going well in a team which isn't really giving a toss, he would be a great pick up for us and Ando will only improve him.

Jake the snake I thought Shack was the Roosters best against us. Ran very hard on the edges and turned our forwards around.
