The problem is such players were contracted to support BAs redundant style.
That's actually a great way of describing our current predicament. "BA's redundant style".
That is why we are in the predicament that we are. And the reason why he has to go.
Nothing has changed in our style of play, for years.
- We still rely on bash and barge. The collision.
- We still basically play 5 hit ups and kick.
- We still rely on off-loads for any possible advantage, which is risky and unplanned and open to errors.
- We have no cohesion nor organistion in attack. Our set plays, when they are initiated, are awful.
- Not only are they awful, but they are also predictable and easily picked off by even some of the worst defences in the league.
- The same defensive issues we suffered from 5 or more years ago are still occurring.
I don't wear some of the defence of BA.
Seriously, c'mon. 11 years and nothing. More spoons than GF's.
Even if we won a GF this year (which ain't happening), I'd still move him on asap.
Besides a few fleeting years of mild excitement, BA's tenure at our club has been nothing but excruciating to follow and support.
