Well it is clear the clubs are not getting enough out of the TV rights to make up for the loss of gameday crowds.

Not really. NRL makes very little money if any. Fox supports Foxtel & Austar as the only profitable channel & main driver for new connections.

I actually tacked on a bit of extra time to combat the "no way I got served later than that" comments knowing how time can be different for people who've had a few (Not making assumptions nor pointing fingers there Spider, apologies if offended).

I'm sorry mate, the service was most definitely done before 1am. You might have been getting your drinks from the casino bar, which as always continues trading after the main bar closes.

i left shortly after 1am - but one of our group still purchased 'a' drink after this time - its was 1 per person for us as a few in the group were cut off already

maybe there were a few for whom the service had stopped for......lol

The way it has been handled is the height of incompetence.
