Dylan Walker is such a good player! Goodwin is a battler, solid first grader but Walker, Inglis, Johnston, Reynolds and Sutton is a handy backline.

Good young back line firing and only getting more and more experience. Only thing that needs fixing is Goodwin re-adjusting to the wing, back in his days at the Dogs he seemed comfortable so it's only a matter of time until he gets comfortable fielding the high ball and reading defences.

Team will only get better with the returns of Issac Luke, Luke Keary and Tom Burgess.

And to think a couple weeks ago we were completely written off....

So what? As was said, Uate is one player out of 5 (plus he's not that bad). Surely as someone who is with MENSA, you should be intelligent enough to realise that 1 out of 5 backs doesn't make a bad backline? Oh that's right, you lied about being intelligent. Moving on...

It's very easy to see who's backs are better. Have a look on the ladder. Don't care what t's lke on paper Souths are kicking the knighs back in every stat dept.

I don't watch a lot of Knights games but when I have seen them, Leilua and Uate are rocks and diamonds and are crap in defence. Only Gagai seems reliably good

To be honest Leilua is one of the better defensive players in the side and he's mostly diamonds in attack apart from his brain snaps (he's always had stupid in him). Gagai and Uate have never been strong defensively and they get targeted. Still though they were ripping sides to shreds last season when the forward pack was going okay and there was a decent dummy half giving them some space. They've been stifled out of most games this year though and they're playing frustrated.

You come across as one of the simpletons on here who come out and say illogical things based on a teams results. Such as Andrew Ettingshousen wasn't a good player because he didn't win a premiership and that Shannon Heggarty is far better as he won a premiership...

Give the knights the South Sydney forward pack and I bet the teams backs will perform far more greatly. Disagree?

I remember the merge fans on here when they won the comp all those years ago. One mention of the red v and there'd be a flood of pictures of a crying dean young or soward.

dunno mate, i read this thread & it pretty much goes as follows:

theme - souffs can't win a comp with some of the players in their backline

response - yep, got some new players coming thru (a few mention johnston is needed in 1st grade)

action - madge makes the changes (not saying he listened to the board, but he changed the backline from what he had in april when this thread started)

outcome - souffs won.



so not sure how that makes anyone look stupid? despite the usual suspects on here, there were some pretty logical arguments from both sides, action was taken and the result is now history..
