Rabs and Gus just don't mix, they never have. Gus and Vossy go ok and Rabs with Sterlo are good but Rabs and Gus is so grating.
Hadley is grating as well, bringing up decisions 30 minutes after they occured ffs.

What about that woeful play the ball by Thaiday in the first half and Hadley completely overlooked it. Wally brings it up in the following set and Hadley says " yeah that was an absolute shocker". Well why didn't you mention that when it occurred you silly radio hack!

Last night, Warren, Hadley and Vautin all admitted that they hadn't seen a game for weeks.

That's pretty pathetic.

It's their job FFS.

Sadly it's because they think they're bigger than the game.

You can't blame them though. It's the general blase attitude of their employer as well. This is what happens when you allow the rot to set in for 20 years.

It was pathetic hearing Gould and Sterling having to explain to Warren who Koroibete was during the game. Warren had no idea - it was as if he clocked onto the job at 7.30 and didn't bother with anything that happened when he was away.

Most of the channel 9 crew treated London like a holiday and didn't mind showing it.

That was piss poor. Surely he would have checked the big league magazine before the game and asked how his name was pronounced.
To do it on air was amateur hour.

This had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the games being shown were dogs vs tigers and broncos vs storm and both went to the wire. Nothing.

I didn't say that.

But golden point extended those already peaking ratings into the next 15 minute block...

There are ways of doing the same thing without having golden point.

nobody gives a stuff about the second game that's chock full of ads and has already been run and won

I know i may be alone here but i bet if next year we went back to only one game on Friday night (match of the round) the ratings wouldn't drop that much. I hate that we pretty much just sacrifice one game to abysmal ratings just to get slightly higher for the first game.

i usually get the choice seeing i can get 9GC and NBN

i'll record one of the live ones while watching the other and then skim through the recorded game in 40 minutes or so

both channels are showing the same games this week though :fist:

Going back to one game on Friday doesn't mean sacrificing *any* ratings because it doesn't mean abandoning playing two games and showing different games in NSW and QLD. It just means only showing one of the two games live on free to air in each market and leaving the other game to the Fox simulcasts and replays.

It'd be stupid for the free to air network to waste one third or one quarter of a half billion dollar investment in a late slot that halves ratings when they could have another free to air slot in prime time on a different night (perhaps with the same arrangement where each market gets one match from a choice of two while the out of market match is relegated to Fox).

Leigh.
