Monday night footy will be back next year.

I miss loyatly from players. *sigh*

I also missed the Jack Gibson patented tap moves from the Eels. They were unreal to watch.

I'm waiting for Quigs to get on line and take up a page or two. Thanks for the comment Dannyboy, the times I look back on in footy were probably the days I enjoyed most in our great sport. :D

Haha you know, beards, the things that grow on males faces?

What about the "mutton chops" of the late sixties-early seventies. The big red-head from West's, Barry Bryant, and the Roosters Ronny Saddler had these enormous chops that all but met at their respective chins.
As far as beards, you must be still wondering where Gary Hambly got to ???:)

* Goalkicking....from digging the dirt, to the bucket of sand, to the plastic tee.

* Padding on the posts.....from basically nothing to the advertized, high density foam of the modern day.

* Bugger all cauliflowered ears these days.

I guess most of these aren't really that old, but I was only born in 86:

* The classic Ch 9 song " Friday niiights a great night for Fooootball!"
* Nathan Blacklock weaving his wonderful magic at Kogarah and at WIN, then doing his post match backflip... gold
* Objective commentators on Channel 9 O:)
* Back in the 1600's when Fri Night games were actually LIVE!
* The Footy Show actually analysing/previewing football games and being a much. much, much better show
