We may as well sign the entire Newcastle forward pack at that rate.

This weekends match will be the softest forwards match up in the history of rugby league.

It's practically the tigers with 5 centres, a prop and a second rower against the Knights with 4 locks and a prop, that all run about as fast as martin bella

Those stats are ugly.

TBH I can't see us getting more than 10 wins again this year. Really strange decision to re-appoint before a ball is kicked in 08, that 2005 premiership will seem like an eternity away if we fail to make the playoffs next ear.

The good thing is coaches are alot easier to get rid of whilst still under contract than players.

Get Sheens their a fifty fifty chance of keeping Benji and a few others probably have get out of jail clauses in their contract if mr 39% up and leaves. So Noyce is probably caught between a rock and hard place on this one. Do you risk losing some big guns and some juniors for a new coach or do you stick with the man with the stats

Well if Mr Noyce showed ambition instead of being content with mediocrity you would think that players would be just as keen ? Like you say supercoach this probably has a fair bit with convincing Benji to sign on the dotted line because Noyce knows if Benji leaves there will be carnage in Tigertown from fans, sponsors and other players

Of course if they had balls, they would have gone for one of the young breed of coaches and in the long run been miles in front. No one is willing to stick their head out, lets just take the easy option in a word gutless, but why dose that suprise me. In twenty years time they will be pumping Shines up and wheeling him out in his wheelchair and still will go by the name of mr 39%.

Noyce probably had a shortlist of 2 comprising Mr 39% and Sizzler
Maybe we should be grateful for small mercies seeing as Noyce is unaware there are coaches better suited to the modern game ... such as ones who will play 17 players in a final round match when his side looks knackered ... revolutionary

Of course you are...because if you were talking about 03then that would totally negate your pissy little bitch fest, wouldnt it?

Doesnt matter when, they HAVE in fact done what you claim they dont have the balls to do.

We are a few weeks off 2008 and everyone wants to go back to a magic four months in 2005 and are blinded to what crap we have been served up in more recent times. Yet we sign the bloke up for another two years. Theirs blokes like Adriam lam, Flannagan, Fairliegh all been talked up as the new generation coaches. Why not give one a chance and if they are desperate to have Mr 39% on their books make him director of coaching.
Look what Taylor has done in 18months at parra and souths.

Precisely. Shines was lucky not to be sacked for the farcical surrender from Round 19 onwards in 2007 and should have been placed on notice his job was in danger (if the powers that be decreed him not worthy of the sack). Instead, what the clowns that run WT do is reward his mediocrity by giving him a security of tenure until 2010 - meaning he is now unsackable - unless the club are willing to pay out to have him punted

Right so the premiership should buy him 30 yrs of sh*t coaching if he wants to coach that long and his performance since the premiership is of no consequence because `he won a comp'. Well thanks for clearing that up

How long do you let him dine out on 2005 for. Stuart won a comp and made 3 grand finals on the trot and was punted within 18 months of his last grand final. How long will you let sheens' sh*t performance since 05 go on for before you acknowledge he should have been punted
