just hope we don't end up with another Dykes situation, where his shoulder kept him off the field more than on the field

Leuluai had a good game for NZ this time. I was at the ground and saw it live. He didn't really do a think wrong that I saw? I think NZ did better with Leuluai there (before he was replaced by Robbie Paul), and he didn't let his side down at all.

NZ's biggest problem in the second half was giving away too many penalties (ie possession) when they were struggling to hold GB out. No halfback can make things happen or get touches when your team's always giving the ball back.

Robbie Paul hardly ever steps up for the kiwis  , They rave about him over in Britain but i've yet to see him be spectacular for the kiwis

So then why aren't NZ selectors picking someone else ? Wake Up!!! the kid MUST have something. I think some of the so called 'experts' in this forum have their head way up their arse.

Hohaia was apparently injured, Jones quit on them, Ropati wasn't considered good enough and Robbie Paul for what ever reason is preferred at hooker. Add to that Perenara (untried at NRL level let alone Test level) who was the only other half selected and the Kiwis were thin on the ground for halfbacks.

Not too many Kiwi halfbacks around.... ;-) who want to play for Mr Anderson.

Personally I think he is a good player however I also think that compared with the players we already have he offers about the same or a little less in some areas.

Incorrect. Jerome Ropati had surgery. Or else he certainly would have been the halfback, or perhaps five eighth.

Sorry - there were so many who said they couldn't play due to injury or didn't want to that I was unable to keep up. ;-)
