There are a lot of if's

Who will be half Leuluai or Marsh
Who will play 5/8
Who will be on the bench

I think Smith will be looking for an impact player on the bench when Riddell is spelled. His options are Marsh, Leuluai and Morris

I think he will go with Marsh and Morris as the halves with Morris taking over the dummy half role when Riddell is off the field and Leuluai coming on as the fresh reserve in the halves and even slipping into dummy half

Parra's options in attack have been limited over the last few years. I think Smith wants halves who are fast, can split an opposition with individual brilliance. Both Marsh and Leulai fit the criteria.

Smith will direct the palyers around the park but does not possess great speed and this is something that is being shown up as he moves up in the grades.

Anyway, I have nothing against Smith and hope he proves me wrong.

Thats true greena Smith running game needs improvement, If I can Liken Tim SMith game to any past halfbacks it would be Ricky Stuart as Ricky had a great passing and kicking game and could direct a team around the paddock but his running game wasn't the best. I just think that Leulaui is more an individual player who can't direct a team which what we have been lacking.

Marsh can do the lot, he has a great running game and can direct his outside backs. Again it depends on how Smith wants to use leuluai, if he starts with Marsh & Morris, Leuluai would be a great impact player off the bench. I don't know that Smith would be as effective.

Anyway, it's a long way off - lets get over summer and see what unfolds - at least there are a lot more options than the last 2 years

What two halves on the interbench. Come on be fair dinkum.

When and if Marsh is fully fit he should be in the starting line up, he's too gggo a player to be on the interbench permanently

If thats simple thhen I'm terribly confused..... walk that by me again.

Leuluai is better than Witt, who is better than Smith, who is better than Green.

As i don't read this site much these days i don't know if this has been brought up but, has anyone considered the fact that the reason we are now after Leuluai is that marsh all of the sudden isnt looking as certain to be right to play as first thought...?

As for those suggesting Tim Smith is ready for first grade, and has "served his time", the kid started the year in Flegg!, and had we had a successful season in the top grade, he wouldnt have even been required in Prem's!!

If he isn't willing to serve his apprenticeship out, then his fate will be the same as the Witt boys, and quite frankly having watched both in first grade this year, that is no great loss!

de ja vu???? :? :? :? :?

I take it you rate him Mentary?

:D

Nope not really. I mean I think Leuluai is a smart player, but his skills need to be refined.

I'm just trying to keep the discussions flowing.
