I was actually very impressed with the Barcodes, they were able to sustain some good pressure for long periods of time especially towards the end of the game and considering their roster thats a pretty good effort.

That strike by Ameobi was pretty impressive, they should finish in the top half of the EPL on this form.

Didn't get to see the game but from all reports it was one of the games of the season.

Still a way to go though, a few players to get fit and a worrying lack of depth in the middle of the park....

Just came across this thread. Newcastle just completed a great win over Everton, a much needed three points considering the team plays ManU,ManCity and Chelsea in the next three fixtures.

The team is doing way above expectation and now with Tiote, Cabaye and Obertan injured its going to be a test to see if they can continue this great run.

Still 25 points earnt so far, this team are on target to achieve atleast a europa league spot - hopefully.

Well if they can get even 1 point from their next two matches, I'll reckon they got a chance at top 5. If Chelsea hasn't found form by their game Newcastle could even win that.

Tough times ahead with no Tiote, Marveaux, Obertan or Cabaye for the Man Shitty and Manure games >.<

Hopefully Ben Arfa gets a decent run of game time now though....

Best start since 1994, apparently.

The next two matches will definitely be a good barometer, and hopefully doesn't create a catalyst for a Christmas / new year drop down the table.

Unlucky I thought in a lot of ways, injuries to Coloccini and others, as well as being on the end of Chelsea finding form again.
:(
