The one-hour shows feature a countdown of the top 100 players in history as determined by a blue-ribbon panel comprised of more than 100 NFL experts, historians and all-time great players and coaches. There will be 10 players unveiled in each episode. Each player is presented by a noteworthy individual in the world of sports and entertainment talking about what made that player one of the greats.

How many of the current playing stock will make the Top 20?

I say apart from Brady, Lewis, Favre and P. Manning [at best] no other names will be there.

Good to see two Cowboys players are already on the list. Larry Allen #95 and Michael Irvin #92. I exxpect a few more as the count down goes on.

I found it easier to pick a Top 10 then then Top 5.

In alphabetical order

Sammy Baugh QB
Jim Brown RB
Bob Lilly DT
Joe Montana QB
Walter Payton RB
Jerry Rice WR
Bart Starr QB
Johnny Unitas QB
Reggie White DE
Peyton Manning QB

For bragging rights, added teams in the OP, for players who were with multiple teams I'll just go by what nfl.com has them as on their list, eg Kurt Warner is a Ram.

How can Elway not be in the top five? More fourth quarter comebacks than any other QB. Over 50,000 passing yards, two super bowl wins, five super bowl appearances, League MVP, Super bowl MVP and the list goes on.

Give Elway Montana's supporting cast and he would have been the most successful QB of all time in every area, without a doubt.

I have always thought that "Fourth quarter comebacks" is an overrated stat.

Have a look at "The Drive" against Cleveland in Cleveland and have a look at the two minute drill he did on a 98 yard drive against the Oilers back in 92. It was a thing of beauty.
