Overseas studies confirmed. I start first week of August, but have to be on campus on the last week of July to settle-in, attend orientation and stuff.

My plan is fly out a week before orientation, land in LA, spend 2-3 days there, do what I want there (Universal and such) then head to Montana to settle into Uni. Give me to time to get to know the area and appreciate it. In the year I'm there, I've got a few things on my bucket list. What would you guys recommend though?

I am going overseas for the first time in over 15 years in June/July. Last was Indonesia on a school trip but this year I'm finally going to America!

Flying in to LA for a week in the middle of June. By all accounts its a shit hole but i just have to see it. Hope to see some bands while im there.

Heading to Austin TX after that to stay with a friend. Can't wait to check out the music scene over there and wanna go out and see Luck TX which is the town Willie Nelson built.

was gonna stay for 2 weeks but have decided to work Nashville in to the itinerary. As a country music fan I have to go. No two ways about it. Wanna see the honky tonks there and see Ernest Tubb's record store and of course the Ryman Auditorium. If I play my cards right I'll be there for 4th of July.

then off to Chicago for 3 nights before the ultimate high of a festival just outside of Madison WI which is basically lots of punk rockers playing banjos and mandolins.
