Eric Simms is Sths best ever goalkicker--AR has an unfair advantage using the modern ball!!

I doubt he would have half of his points using the old leather ball.His record should not be compared to Simms!!

In the 1965 GF against Saints the average age of the Sths side was 22 yrs.And Fred Anderson,the hooker,a recruit from the BERRIES was 32 yrs old.He played a number of games for NSW.
McCarthy[19 yrs];Coote 21;Satts 23;O'Neill 22;Morgan 22 yrs.These 5 members of our pack went on to rep Aust. & win GFs.

Being related to Southsport puts the player in illustrious company!!

I don't know who is SS's relation.

He could be in that photo--or not---the whole 3 are"legends" of Sths!!

That's a great photo---Eric barefoot & Macca running the street in his spikes!!

I loved Macca--IMO he is the best & classiest of the 3---therefore I would guess he is SS's relation!!

But;I don't know!!!

Eric Simms is a Souths icon.A true gentleman.I have had the privilege on several occasions to speak to Eric. How many kids grew up supporting Souths and wanted to be a goal kicker with the No 1 on their back,
