 c'mon, it would be a tough job trying to make that man look attractive!
I reckon it looks alright.
I reckon it looks alright.
i actually think the statue is very well done.someone paid $100k for that
it looks terrible
in the '80s - every player wore virtual hot pants by today's standard. How tight are those shorts????![]()
Here's some of the pics I took

Not a bad outcome considering the motivation behind the statue wasn't to pay tribute to Price, but was a move to put Fitzy in a corner when the argy bargy about the Ray Price Lounge was happening last year
ok then..should they have scrapped the statue idea and renamed both stands and the terraces after players who represented the club pre 1976? (with the exception of Thornett offcourse)
Now your just being silly.

stagger eel said:ersonaly it would of been absolutely embarresing as a supporter and member of this great club that we sat back and let the trust do that to one of our legends
While the statue and the outcome maybe good, people should not kid themselves and think that the stadium trust erected the statue out of a benevolent desire to pay a tribute to price.
It started as an out to the bashing they were copping over the renamed lounge, and it was used to put Fitzy in a corner, ie announcing the statue publicly and calling on parra to put in half the cash.
well they actually called Parra to pay the lot and yes it was a pretty weak in the part of the trust, but putting aside the squabble by all parties including Pricey, if nothing at all was done would you as a supporter cared? would at have been justified? would you have not given too hoots if they took Thornetts name away from the stand and re-named it after Nathan Hindmarsh when he finally gives it away?
Hopefully, we get some more things, whether it be plaques or other statues.....
well think about it Gronk, who are our 5 greatest ever players???
Sterling (Nth Terrace)
Kenny (Sth Terrace, family hill)
Thornett (West Granstand)
Cronin (East Stand)
Price (West lounge)
now the trust decided in their wisdom to re-name the West lounge for commercial reasons (despite the fact that it's still called the Price lounge as far as I'm aware) which is fine, but where does that leave a bloke who's achieved so much and given his all at the club, should he have just walked away and forgotten about it? should fans not of questioned the idea? should the punter out there feel that Price wasn't hard done by? personaly it would of been absolutely embarresing as a supporter and member of this great club that we sat back and let the trust do that to one of our legends and then forget about it like it's not a big deal..fair's fair why couldn't we just re-name the Cronin stand, the Ian Johnston stand as the first Parramatta player to represent his country or the replace the Kenny Hill with the the O'Reilly hill as the first local Junior to represent his country??..it's the same thing.
I'm thinking a certain current legend would be a likely candidate when he retires
If they name our stand after him im moving!
