There's plenty of survivors, remember they've only been around Georgia this whole time.

Randall told the story about his group gang raping two teenage girls, there's one group worse than Merle.

There's a pretty cool angle in the comics they've yet to reach. Makes Merle look like a pussycat.

Speaking of, has anybody felt that the Governor has been a little less insane and brutal than he was in the comics?

No he did the same thing in the comics, where he became detestable and my least favourite character.
It took him a lot longer to learn the lesson, I'd say it would be another two seasons of the show if they go the way of the comic.

I'm just saying that it's made it tough to relate to the main character. Still a fault of the show whether it's true to the comics or not.

Just as an aside, I thought right away Glen would have made a more interesting protagonist. He doesn't have the inherent authority and power of being a cop, he isn't particularly strong or brave. He seems like one of the few characters that feels real and isn't a cardboard cutout. He seems to be developing a bit more recently with his reaction to being captured and whatnot. Hope it continues.

It sounds like I'm bagging the show off, but it really is one of the best shows on TV. Behind only Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones IMO.

He's much less insane, he also get's treated "better" in the TV show (If you get what I'm saying with spoiling comics for others.

I agree, death to Glenn! I can't stand him. The fact S.Yuen plays him to makes me despise him even more. Maggie on the other hand though get's two thumbs up from me.

Do you guys like any of the other main male characters? Other than Hershel they have all been either intensely unlikable or cardboard cut-outs to me. Daryl and Glen have interesting potential, but they haven't done much with it yet.

I don't think I've ever seen Yuen in anything else.

I like Rick, Herhshel, Maggie, Governor (He's an awesome villain), Carol and Daryl.

I liked Dale and T-Dog before they turned into walker food.

I wish Tyresse and Morgan had a bigger involvement in the TV as per their comic counter-parts.

Have never found the Governor particularly menacing in the tv show. A tad creepy with those heads but that's about it. Whats the worst he has done so far? killed that guy who was biten? kept his daughter locked up? just obsessed with power. I hope the best is yet to come.

I like Glenn, he is trying to deal with his first girlfriend and her inevitable emotional dramas so much, the Walkers are his secondary concern. He is a trooper.

I like Rick, Daryl, and (surprisingly) season 3 Carl. Maggie and Carol get nods as well. Beth is inoffensive. Merle goes alright too.

I liked Dale (although his death was an awesome shocker) and Shane fine too.

Agree that it'd be good to have more Tyreese and Morgan in the show. Hell, even Oscar and a few of the other inmates had far too much potential to just be wasted like that.

He did threaten to rape Maggie as well, although that's not really a patch on what he did in the comics...

In a way, I miss Shane. Call me crazy but I found him an interesting character.

Apparently the Morales family is due to make a come-back to.

Rick, Glenn, Daryl and Hershel are all likable characters. Dale and T-Dog were as well.
Shane was a good character, in a development sense not a morality sense. I don't get the Rick and Glenn hate, nor the cardboard cut out point of view.
I also like Michonne. A lot. Merle and the Governor are interesting characters who make the show better. Tyreese and Morgan too, I'm hoping they both become regulars in season 4. I didn't think any of the comic characters introduced after the prison arc lived up to the ones that came before.
In the show the Governor has killed the chopper pilot, killed all the national guard soldiers, ordered his men to kill Michonne, tortured Glenn and Maggie and attacked the prison, killing Axel pretty much because he just doesn't like them. He is insane with power, but the show has pulled him back to the point where it's understandable for the townspeople to trust him, instead of in the comics where he seemed to just be an insane mass murderer and the townspeople were either too scared of him or idiots.

Dale and Daryl. The rest I would love to become zombie chow.

Pretty good episode. The last two or three have been pretty good, actually. Much better than the stupid shit before them.

They seem to be setting everything up for Andrea to turn against the Governor and put a bullet in his head. Milton also seems likely to play a role in the Governor's downfall.

Personally, Milton will go against the Governor. Either he will assist Andrea in taking him down and sacrifice himself to kill Philip and save Andrea or he'll survive with Andrea and bcome part of the prison group (Similar to the Dr. in the comics)

Get the feeling either Maggie or Glenn is a goner.

Is Hershels idea of hitting the road really that bad, arent they out of food anyway. Would be better if he stormed Woodbury Rambo style and became new govna but the writers have non imagination.
