I've got to say that I found the whole episode a bit frustrating. It had its moments, sure, but when the credits started rolling I was left wondering 'Was that it?'
Where was the showdown between Rick & the Governor we'd been building towards? Where were the major character deaths and the bloodbath that this sequence had been in the comics? Instead we got some cool grenades going off, Glenn & Maggie missing everything they shot at, some smoke grenades, and the Governor killing a bunch of extras while he's right hand men watched on stupidly.
Andrea buying it made the episode worth it for me, but it dragged on forever. They could have spent more time on the prison and less time cutting back to her fumbling around and pausing every ten seconds ot look at Milton. I'm sad to see him go, by the way.
Carl offing a guy was pretty bad-ass, but the whole attack needed more action and more of the characters. I wanted to see Daryl v Hernandez and Rick v Governor.
Not complaining about seeing more Governor next year, although I hope they're not so lazy as to make him the villain for the entire season. Also excited to see how the new show-runner goes. He's written two of my favourite episodes (Clear & 18 Miles Out).
