Although, I'm not sure how that question was relevant to the topic at hand.

My 2c - there is nothing wrong with giving away free tix if you don't reckon you're going to fill the ground.

A 20,000 crowd is better than a 15,000 crowd, even if 5,000 don't pay.

and make this regular, and youve got 15,000 people wondering why they ever bother to pay.

a 100 people so up tight about cash are wondering why they payed and probably would gripe about how full there beer cup is for $5 and wondering why the people wont shut up while they try and watch the game, the other 14,900 thinking the atmospher is a hell of a lot better with the extra 5,000.

stupid line of logic. would you pay knowing that they'll give free tickets to sell the remainder of seats?

youll get about 30 000 doing that for the swans match

theyll be there supporting sydney not afl and then realise why no other country plays or even knows about aussie rules

You forgot about Nauru. AFL fans use Nauru to claim their sport is "International"

Once again racial discrimination rears it's ugly head. I bet a few Kiwi Raiders fams will scoop up free tickets whilst Australians have to pay. This should not be allowed to happen.

ahhh,, whinging aussie do make my day brighter

eric is a very shrewd man. he knows damned well that his generosity will be repaid next season in ticket sales.he knows damned well that if any warrior fans had a choice of finance companys his would come first pick.
he knows damned well that this sort of stunt will make the aussie clubs look pathetic.
he also knows damned well that this will lift the profile of league head and shoulders over the tight arses in the NZRFU(thats all blacks to you aussies)

racist ??? in your dreams.

it is now a fact that the jumbos will be heading to oz to take the fans (is that a race ?) to watch the mighties play penrith next weekend.

and the tickets to that game will be free (if your a kiwi)

dont worry about giving shit to watson,, e-mail your club and give them shit for not supporting the supporter !

eric is a bloody champion. 8)

How many raiders fans are expected to turn out? Considering they can only get 14000 at home it might be a good idea for them to give away 10,000 free tickets.

The SGB will be out in force and create more atmosphere and noise than 10 000 yuppies........

Should be great.......all of the 10,000 was snapped up in about 1 hour today!!

Im also expecting another 5,000 more kiwis to turn up.....if we get 5,000 Canberra fans making the journey up plus 5,000 onlookers we should have a crowd of about 25,000!!! :D

I can't b.leave some of you guy's,eric watson buy's ticket's for a league game and you say it's racial discrimination.
eric does'nt even no if warrior fan's will get the ticket's.
There's a whole bunch of kiwi's in your country but who said a gret deal of them a warrior supporter's?
I have family there who are raiders fan's if they get in line b.fore the ticket's run out they can get them for other raider fan's.
All eric watson is doin is trying and hoping alot of them are warrior supporters.

Where's the Racial DISCRIMINATION in that?
his plan might work or it may back fire on him

At least he's thinking about his team supporters in both country's

If I could have gotten to Sydney I would have paid and not worried about the 10,000 free tickets. I would have tried to get one for sure. If I hadnt I still would have paid. I would rather see an extra 10k of people than 10k less and no atmospher. You sound like someone who thinks that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence instead of enjoying the event for what it is. Instead of cursing the guy next to you becuase he got in free you should be shaking his hand for making it to the game and having the good luck of getting a free ticket and adding to the whole event. For league this is fantastic, for the small minded people that cant see past their wallets its a joke.

my point has completely flown over your head (but i'm not surprised). my point is that if people know there are going to be giveaways to sell out the game, nobody would buy a ticket in the first place, because they'd announce, predictably, that free tickets are available to help get a crowd. you'd just wait for the freebies of course.
