Everyone loves a winner, that's the way it always has been.

I don't follow that sookarh a-league crap, but I watch the S - B - arhh S News and of course the sport is all sookarh then gay FL then union then league.

Now I am a squillion miles north of Sydney but I bet the crowd following Sydney Sookarh team that won last years comp and are playing like sh!t this season, have had a major crowd drop.

Bloody hell the Brissie mob just ride the roller coaster up here, who ever is winning what then they love em. Sookarh, basketball, the reds, whoever.... then As soon as they drop down the ladder they desert them in droves.

Narhh we start winning some big games and regularly then we will get some crowds back, and also that farkin main stream media ever stop shovelling out the bad press and doomsday retoric and we will be alright.

The club needs to go on the front foot.

Viva the revolution... Long live the Sharks.

Cheers

There is only one way to go if your at the top baby! Most of them in the Shire are the 'fair weather fans who come out for the party , rush out and buy the shirt and support someone else next year . My dentist is has been like that for 10 years.

Can't believe how much of a joke Brown was for so long. Goes to show the worth of a quality coach considering the last two years have probably been the Dragons worst sides on paper for 12 or 13 seasons.

Our plan? Just win FFS. That would be a great start. Our signings are average, but they were only ever there to fill up the holes in what isn't too bad a line-up. Decent game plan and we can replicate Canberra's work with a no-name side. We're a much better side than theirs on paper (bar a top-rung half like Campese), so I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a top eight finish next year.

I would say that there already is a definate plan in place like the one you mention. But in reality, forget about grand finals, the real plan at the moment is to basically stay afloat until this development, merger whatever can take off along with the new TV deal then go from there.

Until we can get some more cash in the place allowing us to increase and improve our coaching staff and set ups and spend all our caps then we wont compete with the majority of teams.

Samshark, I totally agree. It really is that simple at the moment. The players that we buy and the one's that we lose to other clubs or who retire, well, that is all window dressing. We need cash to truly compete with the rich clubs in the NRL.

Well we are the last club (aside from melbourne) to release our membership information and open it...

For a club that wants to reconnect with supporters and attract new ones - doing this will definitely ensure we have the lowest memberships in 2011...

Just f**king fold already.

I doubt it but if thats the case maybe its because we have the smallest office staff of all the clubs. They can only do so much.

It is true.

And I do not buy that as an excuse.

Are we going to always come up with excuse after excuse for failures on and off the field?

Chip in $500k , that should be enough help get the club into the position you want them in regards to your whinging.

You guys are way too negative. Three years ago your side finished equal first at the end of premiership rounds then two poor seasons and you turn negative on the club. All clubs will have poor years - I'm a Souths man and we've had plenty of them - wooden spoons, club broke, no sponsors, low membership, kicked out of comp - but we hung in there and have turned the corner. We are still waiting to see the off field results reflected on the field but it will come.

I've said it before that Cronulla needs to build from the inside. Lift membership, raise crowd figures and the rest will follow. Have faith and you will have a competitive team and a bright future!

Yeah yeah that all sounds good and I know you mean well. I just dont think you fully understand the position our club is in. We have had the clean out and the staff in place are the right ones, however that just doesnt mean the rest will follow. We have no cash, we are broke and performing poorly on the field. Much the same as Souths were years ago.

Only problem for us is we dont have a Russell Cowe and Peter Holmes a court to save us. Your club too would be history without them.
