Mate, I don't know how closley you follow Bayern, but they didnt really steal him.....when he didn't sign a deal in November last year, it was pulled. From November until he signed with Chelsea, there wasnt even a contract from Bayern on the table for him. It's how the club operates. They don't get dragged into bidding wars for players, and they don't get sucked in to paying obscene wages.

i seem to follow it well since bayern did offer a contract extension many months before the november deadline and had actually been topped up a few times, nothing extreme but more than the last, the board had every right to tell ballack to piss off and i would of too but i did use the term losely tho since i like ballack and was cut he left but now am kinda glad hes gone, and i am aware of the clubs policy of spending outrageous cash on players since the bundesliga wont permitt you to be in the debts that real madrid, juventus or milan acquire, exception being roy makaay

Ok...you tell me why the highest scoring midfielder in a top league, playing for the best team in England and was last year voted the 2nd best player in the world...is sh*t. Please..he had a bad world cup but so did Ronaldinho, and Riquelme.

Lampard and Gerrard wouldn't make AC Milan according to Hybrid.

A team that never even won a trophy last season.

I think Hybrid is a good judge of football, but he certainly lets hatred of English football distort his views at times.

The contract was pulled....we could splash out on wages and players and match it with any european club without any danger of going into debt, but the club choose not to do it. They are one of the most financially sound clubs in europe. A great example being their recent attempt to sign RVN where they refused to get caught up in a bidding war.

It will be interesting to see what they do with Hargreaves, I'll be spewing if he is sold.....

i know the contract was pulled, so it should have been pulled, no one is bigger than the club, if ballack cares more about money than the club piss him off, we got deisler, schweini, karimi, salihamidzic, scholl, dos santos (will fill in ballacks position) and hargraeves, and dont worry uli hoeneß says owens not for sale and hes contracted until 2010 so we got atleast 2 years until his contract becomes unprotected, amd RVm said he wanted to join us but the board was umming about the deal and real pounced straight away and his girl is heavily pregnant and wanted to know sooner rather than later, fair enough i say, he was professional enough to ring and give a detailed explanation why which is nice gesture but i dont think we needed RVN, makaay, santa cruz, podolskigol, pizzaro and if a strike short scholl and schweinsteiger can fill the void since santa cruz is suspect to injury --- forzzaaaaaa bayern -- also, if u r a fan, do u get to view games on that satellite sh*t or do u have a FCB Live account? if so, watch for - daniel van buyten, andreas ottl (next year!) and michael rensing (next year!) future class acts i tell u

Prefer Chelsea to Manchester United. Prefer them to Arsenal too. As a self respecting Everton fan I have to prefer them to Liverpool. Much prefer them to Real Madrid. Face it, if it is not one rich club buying a title it is another. What makes Chelsea special that they deserve more hatred than the others? Don't forget that Man U have been the 'scum' for the last 15 years. Now Chelsea win two titles and take the mantle. It will be short lived. Then we can all go back to hating Man U again...

When United was so successful the base of that success was the home grown players like Giggs, Beckham, Neville, Scholes, Butt, etc. Even Real Madrid has more honour than Chelski (this is coming from a barcelona fan), atleast they have a history, a tradition behind them, they still have home grown players like Raul, Casillas, Saldado, Guti, Pavon etc, and that Jersey has something the Chelski jersey never will have, that being pride, tradition, and honour
