as a backup player he is fine... slip him into the squad for a couple of matches a year and he can do a job for you as a fill-in. he's not a genuine first graders arsehole, though.

he should spend 90% of the year in reserve grade and 10% in first grade during origin. to be honest if our injury concerns weren't so great i don't think we'd see that much of him.

What I have said has later come out as fact - he has met with the club, he has inspected our facilities. The media has acknowledged as such and has said we are the preferred option if he can't work out a deal with St George. I haven't claimed that the deal has been done like you have time and time and time and time again.

Let's be serious here Gasnier was never going to go the Drugcastle, they were used as a bargaining option and that's it. Gaz would never join a club with such an unproven / lightweight coach, a squad full of nuffies and a club in financial difficulty. If he wasn't going to join the Dragons, the Roosters were his only other realistic choice. Let's be serious the only thing stopping the Drugcastle gettting the spoon is the Melbourne Rorters.

Pity Wicks and Houston weren't around 10 years earlier. They would have cleaned up at Newcastle in the late 90's. Joey, Robbie O, Mad Dog, Wayne Richards. The boys could have retired after 2 seasons.
