Carige was a very average first grader, but was not consistently poor. Even in the game that earned his fame and this thread he was ok most the game.
He earns this award in his honour though, if you ever watch the game you'll see why.
Trying his best, through stupidity and terrible execution, he single handedly turned the momentum against his team in a big game with a series of gob smackingly terrible plays over a sustained 15 minute period.
It would be hard to recreate that each week. Little things like missing an easy conversion or dropping a ball (Even in a grand final) are not really in the league of a Carige effort, but I guess they will have to do
