Terrible terrible terrible; I cannot understand why they picked him again, first time surely he was okay but surely again only Jesus knows why!

He's an above average NRL winger, I think he was thrust into origin too early. It's easy to forget he only has about 20-30 NRL games to his name.

Nathan Blacklock wasted all that time trying to be a cult hero by doing backflips and somersaults, with zero Origins to show for it. And all he had to do was not shave for a few weeks

jesus aqua duck i think you made your views on Dave abundantly clear already, was a THIRD thread on him really necessary?

yeh he hasn't played well in Origin but he can't help getting selected. its not like he selected himself.

nice change of topic but Albert played 1 origin in 99 and MacDougall was always NSW's 1st choice winger and the only man who could handle Dell back in his prime back then. If you want a definition of rort look up Jamie Ainscough and Jason moodie, they were the blokes getting picked ahead of blacklock but don't let the truth get in the way of a good agenda

he's a hack and a git, sorry if i don't find him attractive or what have you but how he got in the team ahead of Morris is beyond me. I'd rather Morris on 1 leg than Wolfhack fully fit
If gidley or mcManus put in that kind of performance people on here would tell you they were responsible for the holocaust

well look of course i wish B.Moz was there too. next year for sure.

as for Dave he is actually pretty small height wise, specially for an Origin winger these days. maybe that's part of the reason he struggled in defence against Inglis.

And what about his fumble on the kick?
Kicking on the 1st tackle game 2?
Holding the ball in the wrong arm and getting it knocked out?

Face kiki...if he had a head like Sam Backo you woudnt give a toss about him. To you its all about the look.

Kimmorley whos 5 ft nothing had no problems, the problem with Wolfhack was he kept trying to tackle high instead of putting his boody on the line and going in with the shoulder. He was playing scared

yeh he shoulda tackled Inglis round the legs, it's the only way to get him.

look i know he played badly but i just feel a bit sorry for him that's all. shoot me for having a bit of empathy.

tell you what the thing is about dave - he probably WOULD be a good origin player. but he's been in first grade for what ... one full season? and out of that he's been on the sideline for a good two months, plus he's not even the biggest guy on the field.

he might be a good origin player in the future, but cause the selectors chose to put him in now, all anyone will ever think is that he can't hold onto a ball and doesn't deserve to play rep footy.

when really, the good things he did were impressive. it's just that the bad things he did were f**king obvious and really really ill-timed, and because he's a pretty new first grade and rep player, he doesn't have the experience to forget about his mistakes and keep on playing with confidence.

I feel sorry for him.

the selectors would've been far better putting in someone this year who's been in first grade for longer and is a bit bigger to mark up against inglis, like brett morris or joel monaghan.

Not monaghan,i'd rather see copper played out of position, agree with your thought re wolfie though,he'll get better with experience and he won't be the last player to try and stop the train that is greg inglis. Why on earth player try and tackle him high is beyond me though,a complete waste of time.

I'm not a manly fan, I just don't think he should be punished for the selectors' over-eagerness to put him in the origin team. the same way I'm not gonna have a go at josh perry for being mediocre in origin ... he didn't nominate himself.

if nothing else at least dave actually grabbed the try when jennings ran right by it.

also, I am a 'chick'. well spotted.

look my theory is that if nsw wanna neutralise inglis, why don't they play jennings on the left wing (which is where he plays best anyway) and put cooper at right center?

then they can play b.moz on the right wing.

as far as defence is concerned, playing morris, jennings and williams was a mistake.
