Well its Saturday everyone,
So, here's a Saturday song, I'm sure there are plenty more.

Saturday in the park,
I think it was the Fourth of July
Saturday in the park,
I think it was the Fourth of July
People dancing, people laughing
A man selling ice cream
Singing Italian songs
Everybody is another
Can you dig it (yes, I can)
And I've been waiting such a long time
For Saturday
Another day in the park
I think it was the Fourth of July
Another day in the park
I think it was the Fourth of July
People talking, really smiling
A man playing guitar
And singing for us all
Will you help him change the world
Can you dig it (yes, I can)
And I've been waiting such a long time
For today
Slow motion riders fly the colors of the day
A bronze man still can tell stories his own way
Listen children…

Have to admit, I have never seen this before. Possibly one of the funniest videos I've seen in a while. That guy is the stuff of nightmares. He could almost be John Wayne Gacy V2

First time I've seen this as well, and it took me a couple of starts before watching the whole thing. Yes the singer looks like a serial killer on his way to work. But it's a pleasant tune and it's actually got impressive orchestration behind the meaningless lyrics.

I've ended up enjoying this as much as many of the other songs on offer. Should I be concerned?

So much to be said for great music regardless of the genre.
I am rather lucky as I have a very eclectic collection.
I am a fan of Big Bill Broonzy so hopefully you might like this and appreciate the bent notes that feature along the way.

Thanks for that, yeah, I'm a fan of Big Bill, I was listening to his version of See See Rider just a few days ago. Guys like Big Bill, T Bone, Lightenin' Hopkins. Muddy Waters etc and especially Robert Johnson had a huge influence on everyone from Buddy Holly to the Stones, Zeppelin to Santana, people don't realize.

Sam Lightenin' Hopkins,

Not sure what's going on with the copy and paste but Rock the Casbah (The Clash), followed by Slippery People (Talking Heads). Best percussion ever Xx

Tomorrows' song of the day ..............

Monday Monday by the Mamas & Poppas

Creeque Alley

Twelve Thirty
Love the Mammas & Poppas and that point in time.
I heard a song "Buddy / Brother Can You Spare a Dime" a great song from the 1930 depression in America sung by a little known group called "Spanky & Our Gang".
Not much else in her (Spanky Mc Farlane) repertoire but she has a haunting voice like Mamma Cass and if not mistaken may have played her in a doco
I hope you like it.
