Parra Fan, give yourself a triple. Ryan was one of our best defenders tonight, ill eat my ugboots if he didn't make 35-40 tackles

Damn lucky there Moffo- 35 tackles. I would have loved to see you try and swallow those ugboots.

I think everyone's jumping the gun a bit here. There won't be mass sackings and there shouldn't be.

Finch did very well under the circumstances but let's not forget he's what, the 5th or 6th choice half? Well, it showed in the end but that's not his fault, he did his best but he's just not up to Origin class. Gower, Kimmorley, Barrett or Orford will be there (which ever one is fit) in game 3. Timmins will also be back and possibly Clinton in for Stevens.

There's no need for major changes, an experienced half was what was missing in the 2nd half.

when the game was on the line finch was no where to be seen, he was running and hiding, at canberra he hid behind daley and tonight he hid behind fittler
This is rank bullsh*t. Such spite is unhealthy R69. Finch did nothing of the sort. He was excellent in the first half, and in the second he just didnt have the opportunities; Queensland dominated possession and field position, hence the victory. Pinning those sort of allegations on Finch is laughable.

Thank you Godzilla. Probably the best post i've seen all night. You can just imagine the sheer hatred and spite and praying that Finch would make a mistake from the idiot Faders supporters cant you ? Realistically, Finch had a blinder in the first half, but couldnt do much in the second because the forwards WERENT going forward. The player NSW miss most of all isnt Johns, its dead set Luke Bailey. O'meley tried his guts out and we'd be better suited with Bailey there ... alas ...

Yep, I don't think Finch did anything wrong.

It was Gus' fault though. Stevens hardly got any gametime (and he was capable of double of what he got), Kite was hardly on, as was Waterhouse. Therefore the forwards that he did use for extended periods were buggered.

It didn't make sense.

Finch went alright in the first half and i was thinking about eating my words but like i said, when NSW needed some one to step, where was finch? Was he even on? All he did all night was a great bomb ( ) a half decent pass and then offload to fittler or aa inside ball

hardly at the standard you need for a SOO halfback

You're lucky Moffo, I was wondering what sauce you would eat those with as I was checking the stats - Ryan (35 tackles) was third for NSW in the tackle count behind Buderus (40) and Fitzgibbon (39).

The roosters fans are misunderstanding what im saying

He played ok, but he was too quiet for most of the game and did not have the impact that he was expected to have.

That is my only point. And that comes back to experience. Someone like Shifty has been around long enough to know this.....He has an old head on his shoulders, Finch is still learning the game

O.K.

Tahu and Gidley scored the points, but they were also the ones who let them in. The Novacastrian connection aren't the only three-quarters who can score points, but I'm sure there are other Blues who won't let as many in.

They weren't horrible or anything, but I think we've got better options.

Timmins should be back for Game 3 and should slot into left centre allowing Lewis to move back to his more familiar right.

I also would like to see Hodgson at fullback with Minichello replacing Tahu on the wing.

As for the halfback, if any of Kimmorley, Gower, Orford or Barrett are fit they should get the nod. If not then move Wing to half and and Kurt Gidley to the bench (with Finch out of the team).

Fittler will surely play in the decider. There's no way he could just walk away.

As for the forwards it is clear Stevens is already on the outer, however Ryles is back this week and if stays fit then I'd say his recall would be a formality.

Cheers.

I've come to the conlclusion that Moffo is a TOOL. Replacing Finch is fair enough, I don't think he's ready for origin. But too suggest Mini be punted shows your absolute lack of footballing knowledge.

Have you ever played or coached the game Moffo?

Becasue these ill informed comments that you sprout reeks of Dungeons and Dragons loving, virus programming nerd!

Tell me do you still live at home with Mummy?

Finch is not good enough for state of origin at this stage. I'm not gonna fault him because he was selected at the last minute so it was a big ask, but Gower should be fit in 3 weeks and deserves selection.

Minichiello didn't have his best game, Hornby went ok in game, I don't see what he did to get dropped.

Rooney was ok, he can't be blamed for not scoring that try, it was an amazing tackle by Wesser.

Stevens looks like he can't handle origin football anymore, sad, but it looks like it's the case.

Waterhouse should have been given more game time. There was no need for Fitzgibbon to have been on the field the whole match. We know he can play the 80 minutes Phil, but with Hindmarsh and Ryan on the field it's no big loss if he comes off.

But they can't tackle mate! Good attackers but shocking defenders

Moffo, your comedic hatred of Matt Gidley is getting beyond the well worn turnstile joke and into the realms of "having no f**king clue what you're talking about".

M. Gidley

Tackles 23
M/Tackles 1
Errors 0

Don't come to the table unless you've got something to back your opinions up.

Rooney, Tahu, Gidley

Yeah they were shocking

Two of them scored all of NSW's tries, and the other one set up 2 of them.
34 tackles made between them with a total of 2 missed.
Rooney and Tahu were 2 of only 3 NSW backs to make over 100 metres.
May I add that the same two made three out of NSW's five line breaks?
Only 1 handling error between the three of them.

I could go on, but I think you get the point.
