Yes he made a meal of it, but so what. Puyol did cut across him and take his path. The contact was enough to send him to the ground and from footage I saw there is no way you can clearly say his head didn't come into contact with Puyols shoulder. Not his face, but still his head.

Lets not lose sight of the fact that today would have also been personal for him. That d*ckhead Aragones is nothing but a racist and his comments about Henry were disgraceful. Henry would have been win at all costs today to shove it down that clowns throat. Right or wrong that's how it was today.

Henrys contact with Puyol was his own doing. That free-kick was as disgraceful as the Italian penalty.

He's a cat. The only way FIFA can stop these ridiculous antics is to suspend players retrospectively for taking such hideous dives.

Puyol ran in front of him with room to spare. Henry attempted to make contact with him with the intent of going down theatrically. A familiar scenario that has been a blight on an otherwise outstanding Finals.

Those of us that have played the game for a long period of time can easily recognise Henrys dive, and the refs decision, as an absolute disgrace.

I have no problem what so ever about the fact it's a forum.

The problem I have is that there is a thread on one particular player when we see this kind of stuff in the game all the time. Yet because it is Henry who seems to have his ditractors, we have plenty of toss pots wanting to put the boot in.

2 wrongs don't make a right, but I didn't see a 'Puyol the pussy' thread when he went down clutching his face claiming he'd been elbowed by Henry in the Champions League Final. Arm never touched face at all.

So when every player that goes down easy, takes a dive, fakes injury etc etc has their own 'puusy' thread made about them all will be fine. Lets not leave it to a select few to have these threads.

Until that happens, once again, build a bridge!

Be interested to see if NPK has watched the Argentina vs Germany first half. Surely we'll have some 'pussy' threads on the way. Especially in the case of Podolski. :roll:

Then again, Henry is the only player in world football to do such a thing, so it probably does justify this thread and means we won't see any other players get their own :sarcasm:

I suppose I should add that my original defensive was after only viewing it once during the game. And in the heat of the moment a thread like this seemed pathetic at best. Having seen it again, he made a meal of it that's for sure.

Spain still had the opportunity to defend the set piece, the ball didn't go directly in the goal from the foul... End of the day, France were the better side anyway.

I merely said that it didn't and that Spain still had the chance to defend the set piece. Obviously it 'lead' to a goal being scored, but it wasn't the sole reason for the game going the way of France.

Can specualte all we want, facts are that France won 3-1 and Henry is the only player in the world to ever con a referee. :roll:
