No one is disputing his brilliance but his antics of late have been pretty poor considering he was a great player before he became a world class diver.

i don't follow arsenal, and i've admired what he's done at the EPL. on and off the pitch.
funny thing is - we have never seen all the antics that henry has brought out in the world cup. maybe it's the pressure, maybe it's the quality of opposition, but it's a shame that we are taking about his diving and cheating rather than about the talent that he has.
hopefully, this will be different in the final

i guess it is mainly due to his comments after the champions league final in which he blasted barca for diving and yet at this world cup he hasn't been too impressive in that aspect

Its part of Soccer tho really. If you can score a penaly for your team at the right time, its as good as a brilliant piece of play, and just as effective. It looks, and i reckon is, incredibly unsportsmanlike, but it is just playing the ref.

Might need to watch it again. He didn't even appeal for a penalty. No body language whatsoever. Just got fouled, fell over, and was correctly awarded a penalty.

Haven't had much time of late, but thought I'd pop in this morning.

Must say I expected a couple of threads from NPK, but one can only assume he never saw the game this morning. Two incidents spring to mind - the 'penalty' to France and the ZZ moment of madness. Would have thought they'd have warranted their own threads on past form, but seems it's not the case :roll:
