Macca_ said:No, you said that decision won the game for France.
I merely said that it didn't and that Spain still had the chance to defend the set piece. Obviously it 'lead' to a goal being scored, but it wasn't the sole reason for the game going the way of France.
Can specualte all we want, facts are that France won 3-1 and Henry is the only player in the world to ever con a referee.
rodriguez never went down clutching his face when there was no contact with it, there was slight contact with his legs and he made the most of it, nothing like henry's oscar performance.Macca_ said:Rodriguez anyone? NPK, you watching?
Thought not.
now macca I respect your opinions and knowledge but your Thierry henry facinationj has blinded you. What maxi did was trying to make the most of very little, henry tried to get an opponent sent off for absolutely nothing, that is the lowest thing you can do, and honestly if it were anyone who didn't play for arsenal you wouldn't be so biasMacca_ said:There's no different levels of simulation.
It's all designed to con the referee into giving a free kick.
Mate I can't agree. How can you say for 100% that he was trying to get the guy sent off? You can't. He went down trying to win a free kick. Not to mention that the referee deemed it a foul and gave a yellow anyway (not a red).aqua_duck said:What maxi did was trying to make the most of very little, henry tried to get an opponent sent off for absolutely nothing, that is the lowest thing you can do, and honestly if it were anyone who didn't play for arsenal you wouldn't be so bias
And that has anything to do with what?NPK said:By the way, isn't/wasn't there a forumer here with the username Thierry Henry?
when you clutch your face like he did there's little doubt in my mind what he was trying to do, he tried to make it that he got struck in the face which=red cardMacca_ said:Mate I can't agree. Doesn't matter what kind of simulation it is, first and foremost it is to win a free kick. It's not done with the intent to have a guy sent off. Sure the actions may result in a yellow/red, but it's the free kick that is being played for. Ok, we're not going to agree so I'll move on.aqua_duck said:when you clutch your face like he did there's little doubt in my mind what he was trying to do, he tried to make it that he got struck in the face which=red card
I think we'll just agree to disagree on this one mate. Though nice goal this morning though.Macca_ said:Doesn't matter what kind of simulation it is, first and foremost it is to win a free kick. Watching closely this morning, there was a number of times where Henry could have did a similar thing. ie go to ground for very little and clutch at his face etc etc. A number of times where he could, he stayed on his feet and tried to make something happen.
Now this brings me back to an original comment I made. Wether you agree or not, it is really what I believe. And wether it's wrong or right, it is still what I believe.
2 wrongs don't make a right. But I still think that it was win at all costs for Henry on a personal basis for him, to gain some revenge on Aragones and his racist insult towards him. Taken out of context or not, Aragones still made the comment and in this day and age you simply can't do it. I really think Henry was motivated in such a way for this match that he was up to cheating I guess to do it.
There was one particular instance in the first half this morning that I made a mental note of. Henry tried to go down the sideline and the Brazilian cut in front of him. Instead of going down, he tried to shrug of the knock and keep going after the ball. A similar situation to the Puyol one. I dunno, may look like clutching at straws, but if someones p*ssed me off enough, it can make you do some 'strange' things.
Anyways, nice volley from him this morning to put Brazil out. Was a good game too.
Fair call.aqua_duck said:I think we'll just agree to disagree on this one mate. Though nice goal this morning though.

lol sorry too early in the morning to the fully alert, well the society is open to all league fans lol who are sick of the hack who impersonates a first grade footballer. Abit like Frank LampardMacca_ said:Should have said - How does one join that society
