If it gives a chance to Carney then its the right decision, I was worried at first, but now that it has sunk in, the advantages are highlighted more

wrong, ill get over boogs getting sacked quicksmart, but that drop ball? damn, ill NEVER forget that

It's only just occurred to me that you people are those mad freaky fans that the players often joke about.

Yes, we're 'freaky' because we were gutted by the dropped ball.

Fair dinkum of course we were - what do you expect from passionate fans!

Considering you only rolled up here once the Boogas issue exploded, and have been sticking up for him since, I've got my doubts as to your Raiders supporting credentials...

lol weird how almost half the people here are happy that macca left...yet during the season the man was like a god...people made him look as though he just walked on water.

Im not happy about him leaving, he had alot of potential, just wish he was coached better and had a decent half next to him.

I'm not happy that he's leaving, but I'm resigned to the fact that it's probably the best thing. With Withers joining us, I would have struggled to fit him in my 17 each week.

withers doesnt actually create too many plays..his more of a spark player who is basically another mclinden..

if we didnt have Carney id be way more annoyed that we lost macca..

It's funny how they haven't mentioned that in all the recent press about Bulgarelli. Many of the media reports have mentioned the Rookie of the year thing when they took about his past career....nothing about the drop ball? Perhaps this forum is an exception but from what I gather this forum is somewhat detached from the real world.
who cares if he got rookie of the year in 2003? for one, there weren't many rookies to choose from in '03, and two, awards really mean very little when they're not voted for. who decided this award - matt elliott?? i wouldn't be surprised. i admit that part of my frustration in regars to Booga is that he kept Phil Graham out of first grade fo SO DAMN LONG, and when Phil did come back, he came back as a winger, not a centre . that might lead to me being a bit biased against him

They could have chosen Phil Graham. Didn't he get a huge contract in 2003?

Who would you have rather given it to???

I for one think Boogs was a deserving winner based on his overall 2003 performances.

boogs and Weyman were about our only rookies that year and weyman only played 2 or 3 games so it had to be boogs

Phil Graham definitely wasn't a rookie in 2003 - he scored something like 12 tries from 13 games in 2002. i'm not sure if he got rookie of the year that year, i assume that he would have.

Phil Graham had a blinder in '02. A shining star in an otherwise forgetable season.

Some remeberable names in the Rookie of the year category, yet on the flip side there are also some forgetables
