want to see what the nrl would look like without wrestling and slow play the ball flick to the challenge cup final now. Two man tackles and very quick play of ball. End to end action, team passing it out from inside the ten. Here’s what we could have if refs are allowed to manage the game instead of players.

? The play the ball is not a positive in English Rugby league! It's against the spirit of the codes rules and reeks of a disrespect and laziness that may reflect the English administrators . This is reflected by the masses of vacant seats visible at a once proud code's cup final.

Looks ugly. Cant they give some tickets away to school kids or something.

I'd imagine they are ridiculously priced seats to embarass the code in its cup final! Similar to the embarassing look seen in the Rugby league world cup final in Brisbane: Tickets priced to not have a full stadium look. In other words : embarassing this more deserving football code !

I've recently felt that changing the rules so that players are to release on the call of 'held' by the referee would speed things up a bit instead of having the 'held' one... two... three... 'release' game that we have now.

Should have played in a smaller stadium

The move to a grand final and old Trafford has sadly taken the shine off the challenge cup. It used to be the premier event and the excitement in the town if your club got to Wembley was amazing. It’s sad to see it so under attended these days.

The all Hull CC final in 1980 was insane and felt like the whole city headed down to London. This is the famous sign some joker wrote on the side of the road out of hull that day.

Biggest difference is one or two men in tackle. None of this two up top one attacking the legs, stand em up, knock em down, wrestle for a bit, slowly peel off BS. One up top, one down below, get off as soon as ref shouts held.
