This new stadium for Sydney better not be multi-purpose

Where would the other 4 home games for the dogs be?

Even if you take 2 blockbusters per year to anz that leaves 10 games. Lets say you take 2 further low drawing games to the coast or to qld , that still leaves 8 games.

Dogs generally take 2 games on the road. They get return fixtures with Parra and Souths that members are allowed to attend for free, that make up the 12 games at ANZ currently. This year we did Central Coast (please never again), and will do Mackay.

I don;t see the point of moving all our games to Liverpool, rather it's more beneficial to service two areas. Otherwise with the Tigers playing a lot of games out that way as well, you oversaturate the market, and I'm not sold that attendances would improve that much, if anything they would probably get our games vs teams like the Titans, Raiders, Cowboys etc that draw stuff all.

As I said though , that's still 8 games.

2 blockbusters
2 on the road
8 at Liverpool.

Is playing games at Olympic park & Liverpool really servicing two markets? There only 30km away from each other , that's not much of a change in the market IMO.

Do we really need a new stadium?

The benefits don't really seem to justify the costs...

build it at Coffs Harbour, I am sick of reading BM rants in the midst of a Souffs game

this should be the major talking issue

We badly need a large state of the art rectangular stadium in Western Sydney but the location is everything.

Except if your drive there it can be a good 40-50mins at night.

I would expect to play saints and broncos/flavour of the month team. Any Friday night games would get a better attendance at anz than at Liverpool.

Really, they should be aiming for a world class rectangular stadium like Suncorp.

As soon as it turns into some shit oval for beanpoles to fumble around in singlets on it's ruined.

AFL is not the only game played on an oval shaped ground

Dont forget cricket, and with it comes cricket pitches out in the middle

And there are 3 top tier ovals in Sydney, almost entirely unused for anything else in the summer.

The main point is the Museums are not making billions in tv rights are paying the employees million dollar contracts...

Museums fall under education

parks and community clubs are one thing

billion dollar sports industries should pay for themselves

You better let the NFL and EPL know then, because they get their stadiums built for them with public money.

GWS can have a brand-new stadium when they can prove they need it. Skoda Stadium isn't exactly full to the brim with fans now, so why would a new stadium do the trick?

Probably need more of a AAMI park than a Suncorp.

The couple of games a year that draw more than 30k can go to ANZ easily enough.
