Thought AFB played well without being great. Looked to be affected by the heat, which is fair enough. Good signs that we dominated them totally without him fully firing.

agree on Uele. I like him too, so it’s very unfortunate. Looks to have lost that yard of pace that he would every now and then run into the defence with.

Kennedy played great. Could have had himself a try if he backed up on the Ronaldo break ;)

also haven’t been a fan of Wilton, but thought he was really good defensively

Great win in what looked like absolute shocking heat and humidity.

I agree with BBB we always looked in control and didn’t really need to hit top gear. Mind you this Cowboys team isn’t good. Their best attacking option all night was the bomb. Their left side defence in particular is horrific. Mind you it was good to see that we could easily exploit it with smart attack.

Was a great performance also because Fitzy said quite a few players had developed Covid and Influenza since the US trip.

AFB was the only prop performance I liked. There is so much depth at prop in the Club and Fitzy hinted that Toby is very close to being back so I don’t get the lack of performance from the rest of them. There’s going to be huge competition for spots in the team.

Our backrow was awesome. That was where we really hurt them in the forwards with their leg speed.

The halves had a solid game. They will improve and they will need to against more decent opposition.

We did what we had to do to get the result. But let’s not book GF tickets yet. This is a bad Cowboys team.

The win was especially satisfying as I’ve been in hospital with a 6mm Kidney stone caught in a 3 to 4mm tube. Incredible pain. Had a stent put in and now when I piss it feels like I’m pissing razor blades. But it’s getting better.
Thats f**ked, iv never had them stuck bad that needed blasting but passed a few 5mm ones like razor blades and stuck mid stream for a second till I fired it out.

I just drank water 24/7 to make myself piss like a racehorse

Well, for what it is worth.

I figure we left at least 6000 tries out on the field last night.
So that’s at least 24000 points we missed out on.
Apart from that I thought the mighties were dominant and easily controlled the game.

I often wonder how Noodles has the stamina to carry around the can of pal he has between his legs and play so well.
Iro probably has one also.
Like aisle ten at Sutherland Franklin’s .. big cans of pal slapping Cowgirls in the face.

Better than Aldi. Need less Atko, I never liked him.

Frenzy.

AFB attracts so much defensive attention, even just his presence as an option - it creates time and space further wide. He’s an absolute beast - I do hope Brailey can work some tricks into his game (like Egan did) that give AFB good ball.
Stoney did some good, some bad. Like I’ve said before, he’s definitely showing promise, but he’s nowhere near keeping the shirt from Katoa as some suggested pre-season. He’s very weak in collision bringing the ball back, and has a mistake or 2 in him. I’ll also bet my bottom dollar he butchers a try at some point soon by messing up the put down, either a stray arm/leg in touch when diving, or dropping it during the put down. Nearly did it twice today, and I’ve noticed it before, he wants the flashy put down and tongue out. Give me more Danial Tupou style please.
Definitely. The Cinderella Walsh style just irks me sooooooo much! He's such a showboating pansy.

Noodles no longer seems an appropriate nickname.
