The Godfather said:Like it or not, the official Club website will become for more important in the coming years, if what is happenning in Europe is anything to go by.
The clubs sell memberships to their official internet site, which is another way for them to raise revenue. However, the big advantage over there is that it offers so much more than just a couple of tipping comps. They are able to broadcast their games live on the internet, so if you are a member, you can log in and watch the game. Usually, the fans have computer monitors as large as TV's, hook it up to a decent sound system, and away you go.
Probably a couple of years off here in Australia, but keep an eye out for it.
difference is though, it is near impossible to get tickets to games, and you cant watch any of the games unless you have the money for the BSky B.
Our league supporters would have to become alot more passionate about their game for that to be successful.
