Im not surprised about Gidley getting a spot, particularly given that it was fairly well predicted in the media last weekend.

Gidley's problem this year is that he has not been settled into a position, Tallis said the other week on Fox that the Knights need to bite the bullet and start him from the bench because that is where he will provide the best value. I agree with this, but it won't happen. On the other hand Sheens obviously sees the value of a utility that can actually play numerous positons and hence his selection.
