throwing players boots into stands

Its Maloney's go. Short little weak man gets smashed every game and resorts to dirty tricks like this.
Short man syndrome.

Having read that post I've now developed a sudden urge to throw your boots at your head.

Someone get me a step ladder so I can reach his feet

It would be fine for them to simply do up their f**king boots to a point that they don't just fall off randomly while playing.

Maloney is simply removing a tripping hazard from the field

Fergo's boot went right into the stand... although didn't clear the raiders area at the front of bay 13 so didn't really matter.

the one on the weekend went about 15 rows back behind the posts. No one was sitting there so a trainer had to retrieve it and the boot wasn't put back on for about 3 sets

Simple solution. Souffs have plenty of grubby players who'd be up for this. Get an extra player when Maloney has been wrapped up in a dominant tackle to come in and pull off both his shoes and hurl them as far into the stands as possible.

Maloney doesn't remove the shoes. He simply tosses them aside when its already lying on the ground. Jimmy also knows how to tie his shoe laces so his boots don't fall off.

Frankly I blame this on Gen Y. Those young upstarts are always wearing slip on loafers and boat shoes and have probably forgotten what a good double knot looks like.

An act that isn't punishable under the rules, but punishable under the "the opposition is going to f**king smash me if I do it" code, like not walking on obvious edges.

Exactly, he was doing the other 25 players plus the officials on the field a favour, he should be loved and revered.

This thread has taken the meaning of petty to a new level. I took my mate who is a diehard raiders fan to the raiders game and he laughed when the boot got thrown, in fact he commented that in Canberra the boot would have never found its way back to the field.

I think this has all been a big misunderstanding guys. Maloney has simply seen how adept his heroes like Benji and Hayne have become at the no look cut-out into row 10 and was looking for something to practice with.

More likely he has seen footage of the Morris was In incident and that other touchie call from the weekend just gone and assumes the playing field extends 30m past the sidelines.
