I am a bit worried that we will get a small crowd for next weeks test match. I have not seen anything in the press reference how many tickets have been sold.

For the first time in ages I have seen advertising for it everywhere.

In fact nearly more advertising for this match than the RLWC. Radio...TV (they are giving away free tickets on Extra every afternoon)

It's basically the only international match we get in like a 10 month period. Considering NZ just beat us in the WC surely it will be a pretty big crowd.

I agree with Thomas to. It's one of the first international games of RL i can remember get this much advertising in advance.

According to Fox Sports' Warren Smith (?) in his column - The Rant - in this week's Big League..............

..........It's a sell out...

Yeh, it does seem strange that it's not been mentioned in the mainstream media..

Maybe it's too positive for the Daily Terror...

I'll go one further and mention that this bloke reckons it sold out a while ago...He mentions it while writing a column about restructuring rep footy..

So, is it agreed then that this columnist is misinformed at best, and at worse - a bullsh!t artist....??

30K is a disgrace for a test match between the 2 best international teams in the World played at in the State that has the biggest RL representation (%). I hate to say it but if the All Blacks were playing the Wallabies in the weekend it would be a sell out.

Vossy on the Roast just said "tickets are still available" in a not too concerned voice.. which makes me think mid 30s right now

surely they release more as time goes by

for instance, i dont think they opn up the top tiers immediately, thus one would think that categories get low on availability for short periods of time

just bought four tickets...

went to buy some yesterday but had no confirmation from friends as to who is going so waited another day.. anyway yesterday cat 1 and 2 were single seats

now cat 1 is gone, cat 2 is single seats and cat 3 is single seat with cat four about to be single seats considering were in one of the worst cat four seats.

at suncorp if the two lower levels are all taken up it equates to a 40,000 crowd... that looks like being the case.

i would suggest 39 thou would end up being the figure, but who knows, unless its origin people buy late.

the courier had four full pages of test match coverage this morning and a full page column about it, it was actually quite rediculous the amount of coverage they gave it this morning. but i'm not complaining. I reckon at the moment they have sold thirty thou and prob sell three to four thou every day until the test.

It only cost 150 for four adult tickets in cat four, which are still great seats at suncorp.
