One of the most stinging criticisms you get when being an Oz, living overseas, is that Australians act like seppos and think there is nothing outside there own country. Paullyboy, you make seppos look good.

I prefer test match footy to SOO by a long margin. Pauulyboy thinks we who think like that are clouded by emotion. He is deluded by his insular attitude. Have you ever seen the sea Paullyboy? Have you only ever seen dust swirling around on the horizon?

Why do think internationals are better? Because its about the spread of the game and development of the game. I could not care less whether Qld (which has NSW and Kiwis players in it) wins against NSW or not. Qlders are just red necked Aussies, but they are still Aussies. SOO has the hype, but for the good of the game, the focus HAS to go to test matches.

So are you Australian or Kiwi? With a name and attitude like that you look like you want to have a bet each way. Nothing worse than not knowing who you are.

I watch as much league as anyone on this forum, and you guys keep telling me about how good the kiwis have been - tell me this, are you basing that purely on that one game in Brisbane? Based on that logic Cronulla are still a threat because they also had a good season in 2008.

The Kiwi's are a team with decent forwards and great wingers. They are not an 80 minute football team and when the initial biff and big hit business is out of the way, the far superior football team will win through.

This isn't an opinion clouded by thinking there is nothing outside of Australia. It's fact. We've lost 2 or 3 competitions to them in about 2 or 3 decades. Add to the fact NZ haven't got a hooker capable of playing 80 minutes, a half back worth a pinch of sh*t and a fullback who could best be described as an average NRL player at best.

But no, keep believing that it's me who is wrong because I refuse to believe in fairy tales and the inevitable kiwi hype. It's a sure thing, every year the kiwis are finally going to rise, just like every year the Bunnies are going to have their moment, just like every year the NRL won't have a controversy. Please.

As much as Paullyboy is a douche, his above post is correct

Guess we will find out in a couple of weeks time who the best RL nation is.

We may have lost 2 competitions to them in the last thirty years, but the main point is that we have lost 2 competitions to them in the last 5 years.

Who says they need a hooker capable of playing 80 minutes (they have several) and I'm sure two halfbacks that are both 2010 premiership winners are worth more than a pinch of sh*t.

And I think most people are basing their thoughts on the Kiwis on the last four major tournaments they have played.
2005 Tri Nations: Winner, 24-0 over Australia in Final.
2006 Tri Nations: Lost in Golden Point to Australia.
2008 World Cup: Winner, 34-20 over Australia in Final.
2009 Four Nations: Did not make the final, yet didn't lose to Australia either.

Compare that to the 25 years previous, and I think that is why people are saying the Kiwis are getting better.

Any real rugby league fan knows that NSW is going to come good eventually. I hate NSW, but even I know that. They are losing because they are coming up against the greatest side ever assembled. The Australian team should be the QLD team with NSW players only added to cover injuries/AFL defectors. I'm not sure who we've picked for this series but we've no doubt got a few Sharks and Eels nuffies filling up spots as per usual.

NZ are probably at their absolute peak right now, but anyone who knows rugby league (and isn't just basing things on blind optimism about a possible contest) knows that the Australian team will only lose out of complacency, nothing else. If that's the case, you can't expect people to care - let alone put it on par with origin.

I'll clarify once more because I'm very aware of how people lose the skill of comprehension once emotion becomes involved - the only reason I'm pointing all this out to you guys is because there are always some clowns (this thread proved that) that would prefer tests over origin. Origin is the reason our game is as popular as it is, and you want to throw it away to keep a few kiwis happy?

WTF? There is one Eel player in Jarryd Hayne and one Sharks player in Paul Gallen. Your as deluded as some of the best on this site. Skeepe, Bobby, Raiders Premiers and you, gee Canberra fans must be proud to stand along side you.

With days to go.. and 28,000 + I'm sure plenty of free lead up marketing on tv, the game is well placed to hit 45k+

Just awful..

The last game of League in Australia till February 2011 and no full house..This will be a quality game..

Origin sells out at Suncorp in a day, proving that hype wins over substance..

Can't see anything changing anytime soon..

To be honest for this final I would expect a crowd pretty close to a full house. Anything much less then that would be disapointing.
