They are always close enough
Timmah said:the pax number includes members I'm sure. As mentioned I got my tix on Monday at 9am and the pax was already 4590. I can't see how they would've sold that many tickets in 15 second before my transaction was processed.
Timmah said:More or less. And in this instance it appears to be about 4,500 or so (as I mentioned about my PAX earlier). So the crowd could be 1,000 less than someone's gameday, if 3,500 members go.

This eNews includes important event information regarding the Parramatta Eels v Bulldogs NRL Semi Final at Telstra Stadium this coming Saturday 15 September. This event will be a General Admission event for Members. The clash of the traditional rivals at Telstra Stadium this Saturday night (7.45pm kick off) has elevated the showdown to major event status.
NRL SEMI FINAL - GENERAL ADMISSION EVENT
Parramatta Eels v Bulldogs
Saturday 15 September 2007
There’s history, there’s rivalry and there’s a Premiership at stake. Big time footy doesn’t get much bigger than the Eels v the Bulldogs in the NRL’s Semi Finals.
Everything is in place for the Eels v Bulldogs clash to break the all-time NRL finals record attendance in Sydney.
On 19 September 1999 at Telstra Stadium, the St George Illawarra Dragons and Cronulla Sharks drew 51,827 fans to their NRL Preliminary Final showdown, won 24-8 by the Dragons.
That stands as the biggest NRL finals crowd in Sydney outside of a Grand Final. All the ingredients are there to have a 50,000-plus crowd on Saturday night. Both teams have massive supporter bases and both regularly attend in big numbers to Telstra Stadium.
And then there’s the history. The Bulldogs and Eels were the Eighties powerhouses of rugby league, duelling like heavyweight fighters over the title.
The present-day teams continue the gladiatorial tradition. The Bulldogs have the strength of Willie Mason, Sonny Bill Williams and Mark O’Meley, while the Eels have the speed and guile of Jarryd Hayne, Krisnan Inu and Tamana Tahu.
The winner heads to a Preliminary Final showdown with the Melbourne Storm at the Telstra Dome.

J T said:I thought there is no such thing as "walk-up crowds" in finals matches (ie all tickets have to be pre-purchased in advance)
