anything less then 40,000 (which this crowd looks set to easy beat) will raise major questions as to why it wasn't played at Aussie Stadium, there was enough pressure to play it there already, if the crowd could've fit into Aussie Stadium people will explode on the issue

At Aussie the NRL can only sell 33,000 tickets (rest are taken up by Trust members), considering this game has already sold over that many, I think that justifies the movement alone.

 Hardly. The crowd will fly past 40,000 regardless, but either way there was never any pressure for it to go to SFS (not Aussie as you call it). The only call was Parramatta that I saw and that was put to rest before a ticket was even sold.

its disappointing tickets haven't moved more. surely they could've done something in martin place on friday to spice it up and get some sales.

the nrl seems to have given up on the city (apart from the gay street signs). they seem to forget that most of the working class (get it, working class) actually work in the city

I don't think to much of the real working class work in the city, the areas they should target are all the suburbs along the train lines that link to Telstra.

This Saturday is do-or-die for us. We’ll need every bit of help to beat the in-form Eels. They are the favourites. We’ll need all of you, our extra player, our 18th Player.

We know how loud you guys are. We know you are the best fans in the league. We need you to dominate the Stadium with your passion and support.
It looks like there will be 50,000 to 60,000 spectators out there and the lift it will give us to see everyone in blue-and-white will be monumental.

This is your chance to show all the Parra fans and the rest of the league how great you guys are. This is your chance to blow the Stadium apart.

See you on Saturday.

They've got the Finals Fever people out Chullora away according to both club websites. They're not sitting on their hands.

Latest PAX number is .................

42307 :D... Can we break 50,000 tomorrow? There is still an hour or so of late night shopping tonight (Bulldogs shop etc). I do honestly believe we'll get a walk up of around 10,000.

Assuming we can sell another 10k before the game from here on in, then another 5-10k walkup crowd... 60k is achievable. I'm certain we'll break 50k

Let's be honest these to clubs should command something in the relms of 65K for any other game, it's just a pity it has taken this much to get people interested.
Perhaps 2008 will open a new page in the RL history of Sydney.

I think by 9pm tonight there'll have been a surge, plenty who haven't been able to get out to the ticket outlets are probably getting there now after working 9-5 Mon-Thu.
