I think that his toe or another leg related niggle is still bothering him. He has not looked to be running completely freely and I think his fitness is still down. Unfortunately we do not have the luxury of giving him a rest due to the heap of other players injured and we need his form to be back.

Last year at the back end of the season when he was playing busted their was talk he was carrying a major shoulder injury, the off season came along and their was no shoulder surgery or talk of any injury. I think Benji is really down in the dumps and that is translating into his football

If he still had the toe or leg injury you would probly not expect him to be kicking goals, so perhaps that rules out that excuse.

Every time he does something stupid like that chip kick with 90 secs to go in the first half, they should take $50k off his next contract.

He will be owing them money in another month.

Buffalo - a player with 10 years experience should know better. I've not seen anything to justify retaining the guy on this years performances.

He has been so poor im not even sure we can offload him. Who would touch him?

A team would be mad to take him on more than 250K.....even Warriors.

Maybe a rugby team.....

I think Benji is best served by going to new pastures and getting into a new club, culture and reinvigorate himself. He cannot do that at WT. Whether its Benji that realises it, or WestsTigers board, events will tell.

Benji missing tackles and taking poor options has nothing to do with our culture. It is 100% on him.

He really needs to work on his game but I think at this stage of his career it probably isn't really possible. He definitely isn't the runner of the footy that he used to be. He does still have a nice passing game and can set up his outside men. His kicking game is inconsistent although he can put in some good kicks. His defence is atrocious.

As a supporter of Marshall I think its time to refuse the increase and release him now to enable cap space to rebuild. He may turn it around at a stronger club that can carry him defensively but not with us.

Would also release Anasta, Blair, BMM, Thompson, Lawrence, Reddy, Utai, Lote, Groat, Iosefa, Moltzen. These players are a massive up-grade for Parra and we get cap room to reload.

I actually like Blair and especially BMM at prop when they play in tight.
They are not backrowers.

I can see BMM going to another club and becoming a sensational player. It would be Ben teo all over again

I wouldn't call teo a sensational player. Would compare it more to a fifita or Luke odonnell situation.

We're bad enough as it is, we don't need your rejects.

I think BMM, Thompson and Lawrence should be given some more changes and judged on how they perform. I have no problems with Groat and Iosefa as well because I doubt they take up much if any cap space. Anasta for another years is okay as well.

Marshall and Blair should probably simply not be offered another contract or massively reduced contracts the next time they are up for review. Benji should get what he is worth to us on the field and the same as Blair.

I would give Lawrence until the end of this season to show us something, anything, otherwise I would tell him to look elsewhere. Very tough though as he is on a long and lucrative deal.

Thompson is an average player. BMM is a funny one. He has the size and the skill to be anything but just hasn't made an impact this season. I agree with Vic - he is the type of player who will leave and then turn into a superstar. I think we should persist with him and see how he goes.

HOw is it so many of our players that are on long term contracts such a problem? This is nuts. No wonder we are a laughing stock with some other clubs.

Given the cap now, Lawrence's deal isn't that lucrative. Didn't he sign for 300k a year?
