Yip, I read there will be a WT press conference regarding Nofo’s crabbing at 6 pm today. Madge has stated he thinks that’s what’s standing between us and the 8..Don’t worry Kapaoa is on standby.. he never crabs
Yeah maybe a bit harsh on Nofo he’s definitely not the biggest problem in the club, he is just so much better when he is running straight at them and smashing into the line. Frustrating at times.

Luciano Leilua granted early release

Wests Tigers have granted Luciano Leilua an early release from his playing contract, effective immediately.

Leilua signed a three-year deal in November last year to join North Queensland Cowboys for 2023 and beyond.

He will now join the Cowboys for the remainder of this season.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe says Leilua has made a valuable contribution to the club.

“We wish Luciano the very best with his future.

He and his family have made a lot of friends here at the Wests Tigers and they will be missed.”

Well despite LL really becoming a good first grader in his time at the club, my only memories of him will be his pea-heart tanking performances this year aiming for an early release.

The club has completely given up on this year. It's a kick in the face to the fans especially when they are stating there is a 5 year or whatever plan.

Every year we seem to have one of these pea hearts who cant be bothered playing out their contract.

He was decent for us but after his last pathetic few weeks and then bailing I hope he fails to live up to expectations and misses out to the quality young backrowers the cowboys already have up there.

No one has really said there's a 5 year plan for success as per Gus etc....moreso that the young guys coming through will need the right person to have the assurance he will have the time to develop them as has been the case at the panthers with Ciraldo and Cleary over his two tenures there...hopefully the right signings will have us competitive short term with Ciraldo or whoever, then homegrown and retained keeps it going.

It's pretty obvious Luc did a Mitchell Moses, he started off the year great only to drop off once there was a chance he could land at the Cowboys early if granted a release.Based on his last month of football, good riddance.

I think we are overestimating luch’s ability to control his level of consistency..Hes been on and off for a long time, even when playing under his beloved Madge..
Maybe so, I think his brother getting the boot didn’t help his commitment for a while there. A substantially fattened wallet often doesn’t help performance but I think he will be a good addition to the cows pack. Time will tell.
