I honestly couldn't care less about the result, pre-season form means nothing. Last year Penrith didn't win a single game in the pre-season if I remember correctly. The most important thing is that the players get some match fitness and stay INJURY FREE!

Well said. We're just thirsty to see them running around again is all, and trials help quench that thirst.

And mate I am with you - size isn't everything. Just look at O'Dwyer, our young new recruit. Apparently he is not very big but is quite strong.

I am nervous about the game - Wests V Parra is ALWAYS a great, tough, physical encounter.

To be honest, I think we will win but not by 16. It will be a close one.

And BTW, while I think Marshall has yet to prove himself conclusively in First Grade, there is no doubting his talent. This kid will be something VERY special.

Does anyone know if the teams will have a limit to the number of reserves they can use? I see the value of mixing people around during the trials and all, and especailly when it is hot, but i would like to see the guys who are going to be out on the field for 60- 80 minutes during an NRL match, to get used to that before round 1.

Oh and for the interest of the nimrod who was carrying on before. I won't be at the ground on Saturday night (stupid wedding to go to!), so can somebody who is going do this for me. Count the number of hit ups both Pearson and Skandalis do, and then count how many of those hit ups are actually over 10 metres. If Skandallis makes more than 1 over 10 metres, he will beat his average per game for 2003!

If you ask Benji he'd tell you he was in a football game lastnight and wouldn't be arrogant enough to say he easily handled him.

Benji is a good player soon to be great player he has the running attribute of a young Fittler and will go far in the game, but to you lot his deadset considered as god and that, he is def not. I noticed lastnight that everytime Benji was tackled the crowd would boo, like don't touch our golden boy, god it made me laugh. :lol:

Geez you eels fans have got some raps on yoursleves!!

Firstly, we do not think Benji is God to us! He's is a very good player for his age and thats it. He's played 4 games of first grade, that means S.F.A. He hasnt achieved anything more so end of story.

Secondly this thread contains a lot of trash talking by a few of you lot. Talk of winning by anything less than 30 points is absurd. And our team is not crap, The general consencus in the media is we've recruited better than any team including parrammata. As for a thought that a parra team would contain 2 tigers only, your kidding me!

The facts are, last nights result surprises no one and the tigers and eels are a lot closer than a lot of you seem to think so get over the thought that parra S**** all over us.

tigerpete: each person on this website has an opinion and 1 blokes opinion isn't the reflection on the rest supporters. Personally I thought the game would be a tight struggle and could go iether way, But I didn't know it would be that tight.

Simon says told us last week that we should win by 20 odd how wrong was he???? and if you read the posts carefully some of our supporters have been pretty scathing on on our sides performance last night, and some of us even paraised Benji Marshall.

As for the name calling you should read some of innsaeniks posts!! before you pass judgement on us.
